Another Brilliant Idea
Another Brilliant Idea
Brilliant ideas are not 2 a penny.
Have you ever had that lightbulb moment? That brilliant idea for a subject to write about?
You grab the keyboard in your sweaty palm and blunt the tips of your fingers pounding out the text.
The chuckles grunts and cries of “Yes! Yes! Yes!” echo round the room and the white coated gentlemen are lined up outside your window watching for the breakdown in normal functions.
The caffeine, sipped delicately, with a pinkie finger raised in the air, is now sucked through 5 straws line a storm drain in a rain storm.
You slap the desk as your beautiful creation draws to its magical close and the adrenaline slows. You wipe your forehead with that self-appreciation of a job well done.
You have done it. You are a genius. This is going to rock the internet and go viral somewhere.
Then you check the keyword phrases.
Uh Oh!
A few others have stolen your idea while you are hammering the keys.
In fact, quite a few have jumped the gun and got there first.
What will you do?
Deflated you sit back with a glass of water and think hard.
“I should have checked the keywords first.”
All is not lost.
Rephrase the title from several different angles until you find a good key phrase, not over used. There are always several ways to look at an article. After all is IS a good one.
Change the title then maybe tweak the emphasis of the content and search again one last time to ensure good rankings.
Next time, it may be a good idea to check the key words and phrases before you start you masterpiece.
You did it, and you can do it again.

This rings familiar except for the checking keyword part lol. I didn´t even think of keywords when posting the latest blog on my website. But I don´t mind at all as it wasn´t a review or some other sales pitch.
It was just a light-hearted travel story where I did mention online money making opportunities at the end in case the reader is lacking a travel budget. Possibly this part holds a few keywords.
But I really like your advice on what to do when others beat ya to it. Because someday I will remember to check for keywords before posting lol.
Thanks Tessa. I feel most "authors" write because they want to be read by others. The keywords just help more people to find what we write.
I´m still pondering your first line. But your second line I get because, in fact, keywords are nothing other than other people´s search terms.
GREAT JOB!!!!
With master pieces, I'd suggest that maybe keywords are not everything. Keywords are simply what we guess that someone may type in to find the content.
The important thing is that you created a master piece rather than procrastinating and not getting it done.
LOL! I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me. I have everything all set to publish and then I remember I didn't check my keyword list. And...I do sit back with a glass of ice water and think hard. LOL. Then I find myself changing the title and tweaking my content a bit. It's always nice to know others are or have been in the same boat. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Kathy. LOL Yes it is all in the detail. Can make the difference between a well read and ignor3ed article.
