Don't you just hate it when people ask you this.

Update: If the link in the post doesn't work...

Click on my profile picture and find the post which says:

"Can someone make a full time living promoting WA? You bet they can!"

How often do newcomers to WA ask this question:

"So how much do you make?"

"How much have you made in WA?"

Honestly, I find questions like that to be pretty rude. After all, when you're at a party or any get together with strangers, this isn't the type of question you'd ask or probably answer if someone asked you. You'd probably tell them it's none of their business.

But there is another side to this...

People who come to WA do so with the hope and dream of making a living doing this or at the very least just curious to see what they'll learn.

Many people who come here have often been scammed by other programs in the past and it's understandable that they act defensively when they get here, hoping to not step on another rake.

If these are the kinds of people that ask you this question, I totally get it.

If the people who ask it are just nosey and have no sense of politeness, then it's another story...

But obviously you can't just distinguish the difference every time. So what do you do when someone asks you that question?

Easy, link them to blog posts of other members here who have been successful. People who post their success stories on WA are obviously not shy about sharing what they've been able to accomplish.

So if you find people who ask you this, here is at least one post you can share with them:

Can Someone Make a Full Time Income Promoting WA - You Bet They Can!

But this is one side, you can and should also understand that success is relative. Consider the following:

People who finish even the first level of training here (the one which free members get) already have a head start on their competition.

How many people actually know where to go and what to do to pick out niches?

How many people actually know how to make a website?

How many people actually know how to make a website make money?

You'll find that a incredibly large majority of online goers do not have the answer to these questions, but the members who pass just level 1 here do and that already is a sign of success.

So if you're comfortable with telling people that you've made a website and are building your business, do it. If you're not comfortable with sharing monetary results (I totally get you, I'm on the same page), share a fellow member's blog post on it.

Cheers all!

This is a great post VitaliyG. If a member ask me the question, I will ask him why does he/she want to know my income and wait for his/her answer. I will then direct the member to a discussion that will educate her/him about the subject. I think this question is an objection at being part of the program?

Yes and no. You are right. People are very Leary because most have been scammed. They feel if you aren't up front then you are hiding something. However in the same breath for many people what they do here is their career and yes it is rude to ask. I guess it's that fine line but it looks like you have cone up with a great solution.

Well said. I've never asked anyone how much money they make at their career OR online for a few reasons...It's totally rude and the people that tell you are most likely exaggerating.
I tried to click on the link in your post to read about making a full time income promoting WA but it isn't listed. I clicked on your profile and then clicked on that particular post and it didn't come up there either. I'd really like to read it.

Hey,

Thanks for writing this post. I think that sometimes, the people who ask these questions (I am trying to think if I have and I think I may have asked something along those lines at least once) are just trying to find someone who can show them that this is a legit opportunity.

It's like someone saying, "Have you ever seen a fairy?" Because so few people actually believe that you can create an income online. I think that's why so many people give up so quickly. They don't actually believe it can be done.

Of course it can be done. That is proven over and over again. I have made money by attracting high paying coaching clients online but not through monetizing my blog or selling my own products (other than my e-books).

So I am here to observe, discuss, and learn. I appreciate members like yourself who are straightforward in their expression. Thanks for your contribution to the WA community!

In community,

Joy

Hadn't been bothered by this question until recently ... and you know I'm not comfortable with the question. I used to think there was an unwritten agreement here in the community not to ask this question.

I love your suggestion Vitaliy ... just link them to blog posts of other members here who have been successful. People who post their success stories on WA are obviously not shy about sharing what they've been able to accomplish.

The Internet has such a stigma for opportunities and programs that turn out to be junk that these questions are only natural to be asked.

Early on I wrote about this on different terms but I recant what I wrote because distrust, amongst other things, are usually what prompt such questions, and your idea on how to handle this has so far, been the best suggestion I've heard.

I agree; it is fair if the people asking this question are doing so because they want to find out if WA really works but it is rude if they are just nosy.

I have been asking this question because I have still to make money as an affiliate. Thanks for understanding.

Yes, you are absolutely right! I already posted in my websites but had no idea how to really manage them. This attracted me to WA and now I feel very confident already, even with complicated tasks to do.
The getting money thing is not yet so important and when I make publicity for WA it is mainly for the website part - and I sort of excuse myself for the name which points too much into a business direction which many people I know don#t really know and like, I guess.
So I haven#t has this question yet about how much money comes in

Thanks for bringing this up. I am surprised how many newcomers ask me that question and I've only been with WA 1 month - Me??
My answer is and always will be "It's not a get rich quick scheme, you have to go back to 9-5 job if you need quick money. Companies promising that are usually scams. The amount of effort and time you are able to put into your website at WA will determine your success, but it can take awhile to be productive. However, there are resources here to ensure your success if you commit yourself"

That's a very good answer

People think differently. Some people need to know what is possible for their income when they start out .. i did when I started. When I am investing 1 or 2 years of my time I want to know that there are people being successful with this system. I want to know what people have achieved. I don't necessarily expect that I will get the income because there are, of course, variables.

People are mostly not interested in a particular individuals income (Ie like asking a party), they are interested that some people are making money and what that range of money is. Money/Income is a common measure of success.

When I started I had an unrealistic goal based on what I knew at the time .. since then with more info I have reset a more realistic goal. But I could not do that unless I knew what others had achieved income wise and on what timeframe.

If someone wishes to not disclose their income then no problem, direct them to a place that they can find out from others as Vitaliy has said .. but don't deride them because they ask.

I expect many people here on WA will not agree with me .. not everybody has the same thinking in this world. I have tried to convey that for some people the "how much money" is an important question.

Cheers, William.
