Are you headed in the right direction in WA? How to find out if success is awaiting you.
I get A LOT of private messages from members here who ask me various questions and one common theme I find in the questions themselves is a powerful, regressive mindset that has personally steered me in the wrong direction many times in this business and I see it with many members. That theme is...
Doubt.
It just takes one thought of this to steer you away and down a road that deviates from success.
- The what if's can slowly lead you to believing you won't make it.
- The lack of belief in yourself leads to skepticism and regression.
- The lack of belief in your work also leads you down this road.
It doesn't take long for one negative though to spin you out of control and making up illusions and thoughts that aren't real, but they can become so powerful and intense that before you know it, you've already "talked yourself" into giving up, and worse, to do it through rational thought that is all BUT rational.
In the case of WA...
People constantly and sometimes even purposely steer themselves away from what is taught here because they just can't believe it'll work or they don't believe in themselves enough to put faith in the training and get to work.
Such was the case with me...
Despite joining this amazing program in 2007, it would take me a few years to get anywhere and it was my fault that I didn't.
After joining, rather than looking at the MAIN training that was there, I continued to look at ways to steer around it and get fast results. Not only did I not find it, but anything that was outside WA which promised that quick result was a scam.
Long story short, after taking a bunch of bumps along the side road/s I took outside the main road that was WA, I ended up back at square one and forced myself to do the training.
Guess what? Success only took me a few months to reach after that. Yes it took hard work, yes it took a lot of time, but you know what? It worked.
Then after sometime, I regressed back. WA's training updated itself and I had to re-learn a lot of things.
Rather than sitting back down and continuing down the PROVEN ROAD, I again regressed myself back into the same dead end side roads and again, I hit a dead end, over and over.
The same lesson was learned and I got back on the main road once more, forcing myself to do both the certification AND bootcamp courses, carefully, at a quality pace and within 6 months, I was already seeing success.
When people ask me if they are in the right direction, I ask them...
If they are doing the training.
If they (you) are and if you are TRULY putting in the time, learning the lessons and doing the tasks, YOU ARE headed in the right direction. If you rush it, you are only deceiving yourself.
In no other experiment, side road, side project have I ever seen better or more proven results than from following the main courses here at WA:

Therefore, if you are doing one, the other or both, and really taking your time with it, you are on the right path.
Doubt is going to happen. It is a naturally occurring though, but when it hits...
Understand the slippery slope it can lead you down. Once you get that though and you will, stop yourself and differentiate fact from something you start making up from that doubt.
If you start wondering if your work will succeed, instead of letting that doubt lead down more regression, stop yourself right there, head into WA and post your site or ASK questions in chat as well as use the "Ask a question" option in WA.
Before the panic sets in, remember what I said about following the WA training and that you're on the right path of doing it.
You guys have no idea how much knowledge there is in this place...

Reading that also inspired me to write this blog because one thing that I mentioned in that post and something I have learned in life, WA, internet marketing and EVERYTHING I have ever done is that wherever there is a lot of knowledge, there is a lot of potential and the only way to make that potential become a reality for you is to take action.

What's the fastest way to get from point A to point B?
A straight line...
If point A is you starting here at WA from scratch and point B is when you hit success, then a straight line to get to point is the main training, nothing else, so do it!
Remember that when that doubt hits and you let it control you, you are deviating from that straight line and you need to stop yourself and get back to the main line.

Oh my gosh! Such a great blog! Doubt can be a killer to success, but you can't let it stop you. You are definitely right about the training. If it is followed and ACTION is taken, then the success will come.
I stopped taking action consistently in the 2nd half of 2016 and learned a hurtful lesson because of it. Am I doing something about it now? You darn right I am! I have rejoined Amazon Associates, already given my first website a fresh new look, posted a new product review, updated other reviews that I had already done, changed the home page a bit, started going back through the training again, and done a lot of keyword research to come up with new content to write about.
I am determined more than ever to make 2017 a successful year for me.
Great post Vitaliy. To all the new members reading it I suggest that they take your advice seriously and stay the course without deviation as you mentioned. Kyle and Carson designed the training in this sequence for a reason.

This is one of the most powerful, thought-provoking blogs I've read here yet.
It's all so true. I've been guilty of this as well. I had to break the negative thought patterns and determine whether there were any truths behind them or not. Getting that straightened out took a little time as well.
The path to success is laid out here. We just need to follow through the training and take action.

Recognizing the problem and noticing how we react to it emotionally also plays a critical role in changing ourselves for the better.
I can relate to that, I started in 2015 and got distracted by friends who insisted that there are better ways of making money, more realistic ways as he would put it. Well, a whole lot of soar muscles, a year later and nothing to show for it., I'm back at WA and intent to stick with it.
When I have doubts, I go back to my google analytics and consider all the traffic I'm getting and understand that even I took 3 months before I made my decision to go with WA.
These friends don't sound like good friends to me Nathan. Were they actually people who were succeeding at whatever they were telling you to do?
Or were they just email marketers spamming you to try their stuff out? Because if so, it sounds like they pimped out your trust...
But it's good that you got back into the WA game and are now back on track.
Certainly you should keep going in this direction and certainly ask us all questions!
It was in the lawn care business, I helped him build a lawn care business that never picked up. I'm back here cause I want to build my own business and not someone elses.
Oh, I though it was an internet business related thing. Well those things can be genuine but still fail, I would actually say that in WA, you can learn things that would help that lawn business thrive.

Now, to the theme of doubts.
This definitely is an issue that we need to fight with. What I found though is that I had issues having doubts from OTHER people coming my way (that making money is impossible, it's a scam blah, blah, blah).
Especially, it was harder to see it coming from my parents - after all, parents are always have a stronger influence on an energy/subconscious level.
But see, even with all the failures, doubts, and even conscious procrastination, I still KNEW that making money online (legitimately) is possible and I KNEW that Wealthy Affiliate is the best place to about online marketing.
I didn't even need to be scammed by other programs, this was the first program that I tried to explore - and I am still here.

Agreed, I had similar obstacles with my family. This type of stuff is just too unorthodox to accept for many people, especially our parents.
I was however very fortunate that my mother was very supportive of me doing this from the beginning, but with others, there was definitely a sense of disbelief and lack of support.
That absolutely plays a pivotal role in our ambitions and doubts, but in the end, we have the make the choice for ourselves, even if the closest people in our lives don't agree with it.
Certainly in the case of life choices, we should consult with those closest to us and ask their opinions as they are the people who will hopefully give the most unconditional responses, but sometimes we need to be brave enough to steer away from what others feel is best for us and do what drives us to become better.

My mom was more supportive than my dad (and now pretty much fully supportive), but still, in the beginning, it was harder for both of them to wrap their mind around it.
And I understand them. They come from the former Soviet Union and the mentality is a lot different than Canadian.
And I always felt like I should follow my heart, even if it goes against the social norms.
It's exciting to know that we have similar viewpoints. No wonder why they say that you need to surround yourself with like-minded people if you want to be successful in life!
Agreed! There is actually one quote from someone who is famous at fighting who was once criticized for being a bit forward with his opponents. His name is Chael Sonnen and the quote went something like this:
"If you're not willing to go too far, you'll never go far enough in life".
