Are you a keyword "elitist"? You shouldn't be.

So a lot of people pay tons of attention to finding that ONE magic keyword, the one which gets SO much traffic and little QSR that it's a dream waiting to be caught by YOU, the blogger.

Sadly, these things are SUPER rare to find and furthermore, what I find is that people who put too much attention in finding these "Elite" keywords neglect to chase the lower end ones.

Low hanging fruit doesn't necessarily mean low competition, it can also mean low traffic.

"But wait Vitaliy...why should I chase something with low traffic?"

Because in blogging, you'll come to find that writing a lot is necessary and if you spend ALL your time finding the most elite keywords, you'll spend more time looking for it than actually finding it and if you focus on only that, you'll end up with very little content, little authority, but at least you'll have your 1 big keyword.

Sadly this will not be enough to make Google like you much more which is why when you open your eyes, you'll see there's plenty of keywords available which at first sight may seem like they aren't worth it because of little traffic but...

When you add up all those little keywords, the content you put up, it'll make your site much richer, much faster, then when you find the golden keywords moving forward, you'll have much more content to show Google.

I still actively chase ANY keyword I find, even if it has under 50 searches. I don't see 50 searches, I see more content opportunity, more chances to make my blog become more authoritative and I also see...

LSI potential! What is that? Why here you go:

In short, you get more traffic than you see on "paper" from just 1 version of it through LSI. So fellow bloggers, chase those keywords, make that content, enrich your site and don't be a keyword elitist!

Hey Vitaliy, what are your thoughts about keywords that are showing up on Google Instant, that have searches

Hi Cathy, when it comes to this, usually my rule is, if I don't already have a keyword that has searches to write about and my site needs content, that I'll write about the less than

I use almost exclusively LSI words to build a kind of template for what the article will be about. Otherwise I write just what I want

Thanks for the tip ;-)

Great advice :-)

Great post Vitaliy, sounds like you were talking to me,lol.
I spend quite a lot of time finding that golden mine of a keyword that will bring in tones of traffic.
An eye opener indeed.
Thumbs up!

Thanks, that sounds realistic!

Great post mate it makes absolutely perfect sense, thank you!

Thanks for sharing.

I IIIII Agree ;) and its something that's really hard to get across to people sometimes. those little keywords really add up over time and in the long run will make you more than the time you spent looking for a magical keyword. not to mention its better to be ranking for 100 keywords than one - at least as far as im concerned

Well that's great news to me! lol I'm so new at this keyword search thing that I mostly choose keywords if it's below 100 - 150 QSR with searches above 50 usually. Hope I'm doing it right. :)

I'm glad to learn about LSI!! I think I'm doing it right, yay!

Thanks for this post!
