500+ visitors a day to my site. WA BootCamp results.

Last Update: April 11, 2014

I'm not exactly a novice to internet marketing, but until I tried the WA bootcamp, I wasn't familiar with what the best SEO practices were 2013 and further.

I decided to dedicate all of my effort into doing the WA bootcamp because I felt there was potential for financial stability there. Plus the fact that helping find out how to truly make money online was also a contributing factor.

Anywhoo, I started my Bootcamp journey sometime in August and finished it rather quickly since I do IM full time. However my traffic growth was very slow and at times I though about quitting. I bugged Kyle so much about this and he kept telling me to add content and the traffic will come.

Being a member of WA for over 6 years, I know what he says is true so i decided to take his advice, made a new post nearly every single day. Now fast forward to today, I've crossed the 500 visitor a day threshold to my site.

Here is a screenshot:

Not sure if you can see it, but the traffic is definitely there. I'm not posting this to show off and frankly I don't even like talking about these things because I'm a very private person, but I'm posting this to tell/help everyone who is currently a member of WA, whether starter/premium that:

  • If you follow the training, whether the certification course or bootcamp.
  • Follow through with what's being taught there.
  • Write and add content consistently to your website.

That you will eventually be able to reach these results and more. Yes it took me half a year to get there, but it pays in the long run. Understand this:

This business is NOT a get rich quick scheme.

You have to commit to it. I'm not saying do this 24-7, but understand that if you're looking for financial stability through this business, then you have be in it for the long haul.

People who are currently promoting WA should understand that the niche is MMO (make money online) which means it is quite competitive. I believe it will take 3-6 months to see some REALLY good results. You can still get traffic before that time, but it likely won't be big. Do NOT let this stop you. Keep going. Trust me, it will eventually rise.

Not every post/page you write will get ranked high. I've had tons of these scenarios where I would write what I consider high quality content, publish it and it would never reach the #1 spot or even the first page. If you are currently experiencing this, do NOT, I repeat do NOT:

A) Wait for it to rise.

B) Let it stop you from continuing to write content and progressing.

Post it, move onto the next. Rinse and repeat!

Find those low competition keywords. Don't worry about the traffic. It will come. Make sure your keywords actually make sense too!

Well that's my report people! I really believe anyone who is in WA, whether promoting it or building a business out of their own niche, struggling or wondering why that success they want hasn't come (YET) should read this post.

Well I'm done. So let me ask you ONE question: WHY are you still reading this? Get to work!

i've done this for more than 6 months and not seen a penny. I struggle with time and inspiration so I don't have much content. It's intimidating thinking of 300-500 posts on a site. I will keep going though, thanks.

Well I'm not sure that you did the exact same thing I did Candice. We may have different niches, most likely different keywords and almost certainly different content. I just followed the training.

Hard to be patient after a while but everyone says that I have no choice and that I "must" be patient. Also blog as much as I can but in my blogs, as you point out, don't be always trying sell something but offer good info about that which you are promoting. This way one takes care of the other. tks, Vitaliy....Duane.

Hey! This is an old post I know but I was wondering - How many blog posts did you have at the point of reaching 500 visitors per day?

Obviously, it is different for every website/niche but it would be great if you could check.. Give us all a theoretical benchmark to work towards.

This is one of the best posts I've read and everything you have said is true. I have been on a tear on adding content to my website and have done it nearly every day for nearly the last 3 weeks. Already I have started seeing positive results as I've seen some good spikes in my daily traffic.

Revenue from Google AdSense is slowly increasing as well. Like you said, keep pumping out content on a very consistent basis and the traffic will come. I'm already starting to see that.

Vitality G! If my niche is eggs. Do I write a post about eggs & grits one day, then the next day write about eggs & toast?...The next day scrambled eggs?
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Eggs is not a niche coach, it's just a topic. Recipes with eggs would be a niche. You can write about different recipes sure, but unless you have over a 100 different recipes regarding eggs, I would not make a site on this. Try to focus on how to get into shape and use the recipes with eggs in that niche. That would be better targeted.

So would you say committing as a Premium Yearly Member for 1 year is not long enough?
One should make this a much longer term?
Reply
Barryw1 Premium
Commitment by paying yearly could be just a gesture. With or without WA nothing stops anyone from quitting.

Pressing on is within us not just paying although that could act as an incentive.

If you're tired of starting over stop giving up.

Thank you again Vitaly.

Just when I was getting sidetracked...Your blog was perfectly timed. I got sidetracked AGAIN Continuing with Affiliate Bootcamp now..

I really should 'coz I've reached level somewhere or other other and my site name now at 3rd place when name serached for WITHOUT ADDING a .COM at the end. That's pretty cool - usually I have to enter whole name + .com to see site listed so this is a major improvement.

<< just looked again typing "brighton homeworkers online & typing "ajkbs"" >>

At top of Google list now for both search terms for company name- for what that's worth - not too sure yet but it helps motivate, eh?

Luckily I can take a year if necessary to get rankings rising on posts but will do at least one blog per day or two different sites. You have helped enormously again. Thank you, thankyou. and thank you just so you know we ALL appreciate your hard work.

Bet wishes.

Rinse and repeat, the same like washing dishes. If the dirt is still there, scrub it up more and more til it is clean and shiny. It applies to WA too, if at first you don't succeed, try try try again. After all, if Plan A doesn't work, you still got Plans B-Z to get through til you found the perfect solution to the problem.

Vitaliy, I was looking for the piece I thought you wrote about WA being an HONEST opportunity...the one that drew me to WA. You talked about the free websites and starter membership. I wanted to link that as the one I promote on the three media so that if by any chance I do get any clicks, you can potentially benefit. I don't see it in your blogs. Where do I find it? It was really powerful, and precisely the type of message I want to share.
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Hey Penny, I appreciate that, but it's not necessary. I'd rather you get credit for referrals. You can absolutely mention me in your blog or to your friends, but it would be better if you linked them to your WA affiliate link. That's how I would go about it :)
Reply
Pennifer1 Premium
OK, I'm confused again now because what I was trying to do was the last step of Affiliate Bootcamp, Course 1, Lesson 1 where we post a link to someone else's content or blog, which includes my personal affiliate profile on the end of it, if I understood the video correctly, so I would get credit if anyone signed up. I am not ready to build a personal niche website yet, and have only a rudimentary start to be able to do the affiliate marketing. I hope I am not wearying you with my questions, but I am truly technologically challenged, so I need it spelled out in baby steps. I've rewatched the video three times, and tried to post one of Kyle's articles to my Facebook page, but it didn't show up. Perhaps there's an actual "techy" whose brain I can pick?
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Yes the content you're sharing isn't my site, it's content within WA which is different. For example, you can link people to my profile page and click on the affiliate link option to make the link there your unique affiliate link so if someone visits my profile through that link and joins, you'll get credit.
Reply
Pennifer1 Premium
Yes, that's what I was trying to do, but was thinking of the "how to make honest money online" article that drew me to WA. Is that article able to be shared to FB with my affliate link? Oh, and when I do share something, shouldn't it show up on my timeline or homepage or something so that I know it was successful?
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Yes it will show up on your timeline, but the article you mentioned is outside of WA. It is on a private website which has my affiliate links on it and there's no way to link from that site to WA and get credit which is why the best thing to do would be to find an article, training or profile such as mine within the WA site, create your affiliate link to that resource and share it on FB or any other social network :)
Reply
Pennifer1 Premium
Yes, I did realize that when I finally found that article. Thanks, Vitaliy. I'm still unable to post to FB, however, and have tried using the very training page Kyle uses in the video, but without success. I am beginning to wonder if it is because my computer does not run on the Windows operating system, but on Linux...
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
I don't think that's the issue Penny, at least not something I've ever heard about before. Try posting a question on this on your WA page. Someone in the community may be able to offer a solution.
Reply
suetay Premium
Hi VitaliyG, following along the same line, does it also mean that if I wanted to alert people about scams, you wouldn't advice me to link my website to someone else's article to be educated about some of the scams out there?
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
You can but then you miss out on having those people stay on your site and you getting commissions if they join.
Reply
I signed up a couple days ago. Going through the boot camp. Some stuff seems easy, other things not so much. I've never created a website before and now every thing seems overwhelming. The website is created, I have a few pages but don't know where to go from there. WA says that content is really important so I'm freaking out about that now.
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
No need to worry Mariana. Content just means you write stuff on your site which pertains to your niche. You share information that helps people.

If I had a diet website, I'd write information on different types of diets, help people lose weight and recommend products/methods to help them with this. That would be my content.
Reply
Pennifer1 Premium
What about when you're new to affiliate marketing but see it as the best way to get started? Is it possible to get permission and post other people's content to your page if you credit them as the author of the blog, etc?
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Yes this can work Penny, but I am personally not a fan of quoting other people. Maybe a sentence or two here and there, but the vast majority of your site should, in my opinion, only be your personal content. It brings originality to it and gives your site's visitors a sense of connection to the author.

Hi V, what do you class as good content. How mány pages?
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Good content is when you write things that keep people reading, sharing comments and even sharing your page with friends of theirs. It means they found the information so helpful, controversial or just a good read, worth enough to go through the hassle of writing back to you.

As for pages/posts, the more the better. I believe 100's should be the goal. I have 100's of posts on my site. It's not something you'll get done fast, but it will accumulate.

Yes, we all know the make money online is a competitive niche, but as the Low Hanging Fruit keyword training tells us to pick (green in Jaaxy) keywords that will more likely get ranked. I have been doing this. So are you telling us that even when you followed this low hanging fruit keywords for you post you still were not getting ranked on the first page at all? Or you weren't getting ranked on the first page for a couple two or three months?

Thanks

I was getting some 1st page rankings, but ultimately what lead to many first page rankings was the authority of my site rising and that comes when you have a lot of content. Then writing posts makes them more likely to pop up on the first page, as well as previous posts to do the same.

Hi VitaliyG,

What's your take on landing pages? I notice quite a few WA members use them for their WA review or How they got started pages. I like the effect of striping the menu items off and not giving the reader a quit hop out.

Is there one you recommend, free or paid?

Thanks

Hi Vitaliy
I am really glad I read this. Thanks for sharing and caring about other members success. As you can see I am still a non starter. Been away after taking fright and leaving a few years ago, but been back since Sept and gradually improved my rankings while getting involved in the community - it's been so welcoming and interesting. I have also been learning just through doing this, too, but realize I do have to get into the lessons (signed up for Bootcamp but have stalled just for now; however, my interest in IM never goes away, and I do have an entrepreneurial streak (which constantly gets hosed down by family mainly). I am trying to convince them I have finally found the 'real deal' here, but it looks like they won't be convinced till I have the results to show for it, so I am going to stop trying to convince them and instead, concentrate on getting blogs and sites up and running. For some reason, I am a bit spooked at the thought of putting myself out there on a website, but it is a hurdle I will have to overcome. Anyway, after reading your blog (and other great blogs), I will pull my finger out and make it happen. At least here, I know many people from all walks of life have overcome obstacles of one kind or another, to achieve success, and this keeps me strong and determined. I love it here so much that this time, nothing is going to deter me.

Believe in yourself and you will achieve it.

Katharina, don't be shy about putting yourself out there on the web. You dont have to do it as "you"...... you can do as many do & have web persona. Use a nom de plume. You don't even have to have real pictures of yourself, you can use stock photos. Its the content they are after and don't really care about who you are. As long as you can solve their problem. And just do our all behind a net persona that you become while online.
Good luck with it and don't procrastinate any further ,go show your family.
Reply
katzee Premium
Hi Burzie
Thanks so much for this kind encouragement.........I have been agonizing about the whole persona thing.......I do have to get real, and strop procrastinating, I know, but I just don't know how to get it all to pull together if I use a persona on web pages. I am probably overthinking the whole issue and will just take the plunge anyway. I have been stalling myself silly over it. To use nom de plume or not ....it's starting to appeal............something to think about over Xmas, site up after that.
