Ugh! About Me!
Feeling Frustrated
Hello my lovely WA community đź’™ I am here to vent a little and reaching out for some help.
I have been working on fixing my "About Me" page, and it's gotten me super frustrated. I have been working on it for days.
You know how they say, "When life throws lemons at you, make lemonade" (I think that's how it goes); well, right about now, I want to throw these damn lemons back!
I didn't realize how frustrating this can get, but then again, that's the story of my life. I'm trying to stay positive, you guys.
What Am I Doing Wrong
I am having problems with editing my images.
I am having problems laying out my website correctly.
I am having problems choosing the right colors and logo.
I am having problems saving my edited content.
I am having problems with my retina logo. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I'm going through the training and signing up for extra classes.
I haven't spent time on anything else besides trying to get my "About Me" page right.
It's making me behind on everything else.
I'm wondering if I'm spending too much time on it.
Should I give up on it for now?
Leave it as it is, and move on with my lessons?
I hate leaving things that are important to me not done right. I know it doesn't have to be perfect, but it has to be perfect to me.
This is just so important to me, and I don't want to fail or feel defeated. Believe it or not, you guys here at WA are my only support.
I haven't really talked to anyone about these goals and dreams I'm trying to accomplish.
The few I have don't really believe in me or take me seriously about what I'm doing.
Anyways, I feel a little better now that I vented a Lil.
I think I'm just going to continue with my lessons for now.
Once I get it a little bit more together and figure it out, I'll come back and fix my "About Me" page.

I know how you feel
Try About me page was a stumbling block when I first started
To put in mildly, it was pain in my side. I spent hours on it. I researched but still couldn't get it right
I eventually had to reach out to a member about it
Think about being new and reaching out to others for assistance
But it was the brilliant thing to do, as you are doing now
I glad I did because it made my faith in humanity increased
A total stranger took an entire day, to help.as we push messages back and forth until it was as it was to be.
Your About page is an essential page that tells others about your website.
It is not About you
You need to include information about you that will help the readers know how what you do will help them with their pain points
Things that are needed include what is the main reason you're creating your website.
How will your information help and what you want to achieve while doing so
A little information about why you wanted to start this and its relation to either your career or skills or experience on that topic of your niche.
The About page is not meant to talk about you in great details but on how you can use your skills, career or experience to write informative articles about your niche topic

Its alright to go step by step on your own pace no such thing you are behind:) When you are frustrated mingle with the community a bit and join the discussion until you come across all the motivation words and just few minutes you are ready to go again and continue your lesson!
Enjoy we are all once in frustration but as you go along you will be just find! Take it easy, once in a while make a break. . .

I understand your frustration. Though the about me page is essential, writing consistently on your blog is of greater value.
It's so easy to spend so much time looking for the best website design.
Just move on with other things in your plan.
When you click on the content you wish to edit on the WordPress dashboard, there are options like view, edit, quick edit.
Choose edit and update when you're done.
I feel a screenshot will explain those problems better.
When you are editing your page,go to the dashboard of your WordPress website and click on posts. Choose the post you want to edit and when you finish,look on the right hand side where there is SEO score, there is an update button. Press that update button. Then your work will be updated.

HI Virginia, you know I'very been othere, it was months I spent on my about me page. Then some one saw my frustration, I was literally crying and she PM me and started working with me.
Walla something that was so simple gave me grief, it was bonding my headings. I was watching one of Kyle videof and he was saying before you put an image you first click where you want to put it and then click on image. When you're done click edit and update.
Relax and take it easy.
Lol. I know I've been so frustrated I've also cried. My boyfriend looks at me like I'm crazy.
