I am Retired Military Food Service professional, which is a fancy title for a cook/chef. Cooking is my passion, mainly sweets. I started preparing food when I was about nine years old. My Mother wouldn't let me cook on the stove, so I started cooking the fish that my Grandfather caught on one of his several fishing trips. The first time I work in a kitchen was when I was in high school. I had a part-time job in the dietary department at the local hospital. I learned a lot about special diets in that kitchen. As soon as I was able I joined the Army and they made me a clerk, but I became bored sitting in a cube all day. The first chance I got I switched to the kitchen. I spent the next 20 years working every part of food prep and kitchen administration. I have since worked in Neiman Marcus bistro and their main kitchen as an assistant to the chef. I have taken several courses in different areas of food, cake and cookie decorating, chocolate desserts, hospital food service in the Army, video courses, etc.
I still read all the food magazines I can get my hands on, Gourmet, Fresh Cup, Bon Appetit, Cooks Illustrated, Food and Wine, Real Simple and of course Martha Stewart.
I have always wanted to build on online marketing business in the food industry and I have no doubt, I will be a success. I have a healthy menu I am working on right now! The Wealthy Affiliate makes this so simple! Especially for me, who has absolutely no experience in website building. This will be a great experience!
