I think it is because some countries had members that signup on free and spam the network. It is to keep spam and weakening the community with non beneficial stuff for all members (like having people promote other stuff to you etc.)
I just made an article of getting started. the page is published but it doesn't show on my site. can somebody help me how to rectify it? your reply is deeply appreciated
Pages must be added to menu. Appearance, Menus, Add to menu. If you do not have menu you have to create it.

I think you may have solved this already, I saw in Live Chat!
To recap: go to "All Pages" (or "All Posts") in your WordPress Editor. Click on "Quick Edit" for each page you would like to allow comments on. Check the "Allow Comments" box for each page and hit the "Update" key.

Take it slowly and go through the lesson slowly all will be explained at the right time. If less than one were to teach you how to align your images it would be a few hours long everything is explained in time
sorry for being rush. My internet connection on board the ship is not so fast that's why I'm having trouble watching the lesson. thanks by the way.
