I have just uploaded another training video, but something I completely forgot about, again, was to add subtitles/captions to it.

I'm going to make sure that future videos include these, and I'll try and get this one uploaded again, once added.

However, before I do, I wonder if you could help me?

What Background and Foreground Colour do you prefer when you see captions on videos?

I.e. a Black Background with White Text?

I really would appreciate your thoughts on this, as it will help you absorb the information at the end of the day. The last thing I want is for it to be too glary or not bold enough etc :-)

White on dark gray (almost black) OR white on blue as long as it is not electric blue and stark white. Of course, I have been doing computer work since the days of green lettering on a black screen.
I have found books with light green paper and black lettering works well.

The white text that you have on the blue background in the first video looks good. So, if you are going with this theme, I think the white text is the way to go. White text against a dark solid background works for me.

Black text is the obvious choice for white background, but I assume you will not have many white backgrounds.

Very true Alex, consistency is key, and to not have too many colours throughout the video. White text on a darker background would make the most sense, thank you :-)

Hello Christopher, the black with white looks good to me. Perhaps a bit larger text for older folk like myself. Another thing I noticed was that the video was a little dark it was like it need to be brighter like the light was on dull.

We like the thought about bigger text we are not that old but is hard to see from a phone.

Is the video taken down? I tried to go to it, and it said not found.
My friend is legally blind, but can still see enough to read his smart phone. However, he has to invert the screen, so it shows white letters on black background. I think the greater the contrast the easier it is to read!
