Is using Creative Commons content to build up a YouTube channel a good strategy? I just take a Creative Commons video and edit some clips and audio, but will these videos get seen, or will the algorithm ( I'm not good at this, yet) not show this? I have mostly my own content, but sometimes edit videos with a commons videos license.

Thank u 🙏

Ulf

Much better to go with your own original content.

It seems that it all depends upon how much the creative commons video is edited because it could be used by anyone and modified.

"You can monetize royalty-free or Creative Commons content when the license agreement grants you rights to use it commercially. Sometimes rights owners require you to credit the creator of the content or give proof of purchase to use it in your video for commercial purposes." via Google.

The best person to ask is Chris

I know this, thank you but wonder how the youtube algorithm prioritizes creative commons videos the same way as original content?
