Can we legally post a youtube link on our site or do we need to own the copyright to the video?

I've only embedded or linked my own YT vids on my sites and never had issues. I've never used someone elses though. But, that doggone "Share" button is there for a reason... (-;

Going forward I wouldn't have a problem sharing someone elses video on my site if it didn't take traffic away from an important post or page!

You can share youtube video on your site as long as you are agreeable to the API Terms and Conditions. >> https://developers.google.com/youtube/iframe_api_reference

No restriction on posting YouTube Videos at all, but better to make your own, so that people come to your list, not other peoples

If the video has a share or embed link then you are free to use it and share it wherever you want to
