Can you embed a YouTube video In an email? I have been putting a link but that takes the viewer out of my message and to the YouTube site where they could become distracted by other videos.

I embed them in my blog and they will watch without leaving my site. I want the same with email

Hi Neil! There is video email it is like you are watching inside the email. It is kind of different from video file as an email attachment or a hyperlink to video from any site. But video embed in email exactly? I would love to know as well.

However there is a Video Email Marketing Software, it helps you create Video Email, among others. Regards, Florentino

Thanks. A search didnt turn up anything useful. I think hosting them on a siterubix site might be a solution for a while. I don;t think load speed would be an issue as long as a lot of people are not trying to see it at the same time. My list will have to be a lot bigger before that;s even a possibility.

i didn't think that would be a good idea as it would bloat the email size.....
i definitely wouldn't want that - i would be searching for the unsubscribe.....
you are better off creating a gif from the video and sending them to your site to watch the rest of it....
have fun

The videos are of nature of people extolling the product I want to sell. They are not of the nature that would lend themselves to a catchy gif or meme

in that case link back to your site where they are embedded....
even just a short snippet for the video will set you apart - but watch out for the size.

When an email lands in your inbox do you typically look to see what size it is?

The thing is, I have some videos on my blog. The videos are not actually on the site but I put links to them. When you watch the video on my site you stay on my site unless you deliberately click the share icon to go directly to YouTube. I don't know why it doesn't work the same way with email

Interesting. I think if I would create a page for each video on a siterubix site and upload them there instead of YouTube it just might be the solution

Thanks

if the email take a while to open - it gets trashed
i don't know with video whether - as with your web page - the yt program has to load prior to showing the embedded video stills
this slows down web pages - check yours on gtmetrix and see if the yt program is loaded in the head section...it is about a meg to be loaded before anything else can happen....
still has an impact on sitespeed- so will impact on email speed
and is it secure to send videos via emial....
personally i think an image linking to your site ( gets you more pageviews) would be better
but you have made your mind up...

I understood what the guy in the video was saying.. I have the ability in my autoresponder to put a clickable thumbnail and link it to whatever I want. I brought this whole topic up because I want to be able to not send the viewer to YouTube where he may become distracted by other videos and possibly even see negative reviews of what I am trying to sell.

The only question I have now is how to upload a video to a wiordoress site, I haven't tried yet because I only thought of it at 4:30 AM. It might be easy. It might not be, I could put some kind of relevant background so the video in the middle stands out.

If I put them on a siterubix site that I only use for that purpose then that eliminates the oossibility of having a large file in my emaii and the problem of sending then to YouTube,

you can uplosd to 32mb file size directly as an mp4
but as you say put it on a siterubix as that site would be sloooow....
i did upload a vid directly - but soon found it a lot faster to upload to yt - keeping it unlisted - with a link to my site...

If I make it private on YouTube would viewers still see that there are other videos and would YouTube put a video of their choosing to automatically play when mine is done>

private and public are done on a video by video basis - so won't affect any other videos.
hte only way ot stop random videos at the end is to use the rel=0 code within an embedded code.
this will show videos from the same channel rather than others...
there are still a few codes that work for videos
https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters
so you are better off with an iframe embedded rather than direct to yt in this instance ...

lol...thats enough to get a degree nowadays....
i have just created a post on my site about what you can do with video - the parameters.
there is enough control left to make it interesting......
it is on my passiiveincomexplorer site...fyi.... (or will be later)

The provider of my autoresponder has a video recording option as well as conference webinar space. Those videos are embedded but I don't make my own videos and of course that option is an expensive upsell

Not exactly, but you can use certain embed code or even images to give the appearance of an embedded video which then opens the browser to play.

I don't know how to do that. My autoresponder has a paper clip icon I paste the link in and type the text I want to be seen
