Hi WA. My short-term goal is to create and launch a $1m webinar in the next 6-8 weeks. Using the resources here, what is my shortest path?

My backend stuff is disjointed

Hi, Victor...

That is a question with a huge bunch of answers for. It appears you are planning a product launch using a webinar to make the pitch?

There are a number of things to do prior to the actual webinar...

(1) Complete creation of the product...

(2) Complete any upsells you will offer...

(3) Test the product(s)...Make any changes needed so it works...

(4) Get a JV page together, plus your sales funnel - i.e. your sales pages, thank you pages, storage area for your products, determine how buyers get access to their purchases, and after setup of the funnel, test everything...

(5) Prepare any marketing materials you or your JVs will need, add to the JV page...

(6) Determine on what platform you will offer the product on, i.e. JVZoo, Warrior + etc. See what their requirements are, set your product(s) up within their system...

(6) Plan for and conduct a pre-launch process

(7) Plan for during and after launch...Have you got people and backup systems in place for when things go wrong during launch, as they will from time to time, is there a customer support system in place to take care of customers and handle any new customers that you get after launch, etc...

The items I mention are just the broad brush strokes of all the steps involved in a product launch, whether via a webinar or otherwise...There are many tasks within each of these to get done on your way to a successful offering...

If you have never done this before my recommendation is to make a pitch to a seasoned marketer who has been through this process once or more...Tap into that, work with that person, learn from them, and split your profits...

What you envision is most certainly doable, it is done every day, However, if you do not have any experience it will be hard to get it done right. Best of luck!

Cheers!

Thanks for the answer Dave! I do have a lot going for me and several options. There are a few smaller gaps and I am wondering if I fill them myself or best to get some help.

Details are below - based on this, what are your thoughts?

-----

This is what I do have going for me:
*access - not committed yet
(a) Internet Marketing Guru + his inner circle
(b) Backend systems guy. CRM, website, landing page, sales funnel, webinar host, etc
(c*) Thought Leadership Guru
(d) Speaker Coaches
(e*) Webinar Guru
(f) Venture Capitalist
(g1) 300k qualified database for my target market in Australia. Access to qualified international database.
(g2*) Ways to get free leads, semi-targeted
(g3*) Facebook ads + other paid targeted ads

(1) Complete creation of the product - [GREEN] (a,b,c,d,e)

I'm doing an 8-week webinar course with experiential activities offline to learn by doing.

(2) Complete any upsells you will offer... [GREEN] (a,b,c,d,e)

I have a 12 month upsell online program that I would develop content for 1 month in advance + monthly continuity program + limited time for my traditional 1:1 product 2 week consulting gig for additional successful case studies to use.

(3) Test products [GREEN] (b,c,d,e,f)

I have an internal group pf 40 people to do pilot testing. I do admit, I hadn't considered a pilot test and it's a great idea!

I also have access to my VC to test on some of his paid clients. My plan is to do a small Australia / New Zealand launch. Tweak and do an international launch a month after.

(4) Get a JV page together, plus your sales funnel [GREEN] (a,b,f)

I feel I don't necessarily need a JV for my initial launch. I want to use JVs further down the line for bigger launches though. However, if I find the right JV, I might do a much bigger launch. I'm on the fence with this one.

Really grateful my backend guy is a digital marketing + tech guy.

(5) Prepare any marketing materials you or your JVs will need, add to the JV page... [GREEN] (a,b,f)

I've been working on this last two weeks. It's in tweaking and scheduled for split testing next week.

(6) Plan for and conduct a pre-launch process [ORANGE] (a,b)

I'm up for ideas on this one. Haven't thought about it too much and probably have not got into the content from my marketing guy on this yet.

I was planning on 2 things:
1. Pre-launch 5 day FREE program.
2. I do have a small speaking event in June that I could use to launch this webinar.

(7) Plan for during and after launch.. [ORANGE] (a,b)

I'm reliant on one guy at the moment and he is serving me really well. I do have access to a couple of other guys but I haven't nurturued those relationships yet. I didn't think about this at all - thanks for the mindspark!

(8) I don't have anyone helping me pull all of this together. I have initiated a conversation with 3 people, 2 webinar guys and my VC. I'm exploring the path of VC vs DIY. [ORANGE] (b,f)

Hi, Viktor...

It sounds like you are well on your way and you have a support team for most of the areas mentioned from your reply above...

Not knowing the exact product you will be promoting, the case for JVs may not be applicable, nor necessary...

I would definitely tap into each of the experts you have with you and run through all the possible scenarios and what-ifs and address any potential problems as they show themselves...

Obviously, you are not starting from zero on this one, it sounds like you have a better than even chance at rolling this out successfully!

BTW, I am checking out your FB page now, I liked and followed you there...I see that you have established a good base or tribe to tap into, with your background...This means to me that this whole thing achievable!

I am wondering if there are some ways that we can help one another out down the road, it was just by chance I came across your post here today (and nothing happens by chance, there is always a reason, from my experience)...

Good to meet you and good on you M8!

Dave : )

Thanks for your support Dave. I really appreciate it and it makes a huge difference.

When you like and follow me on Facebook, this is what happens:
1. I like you even more
2. It helps me attract other like-minded tribers (is that a word?)
3. It means we can have a greater impact to make the world a better place.
Thank you.

This is completely raw first draft of the program. I created it this morning based on a Facebook challenge I am participating in. Hope it gives some context.

Let's have a chat and see how we can find a win / win Dave!
I'm not sure what the etiquette around here is like. You can PM me on Facebook if that is ok?
