Hi everyone,

Just to share with that my season is going well. On Friday, we won 6-1 and we are now 2-0 for the season. We a VERY IMPORTANT game tomorrow. We will catch up.

What I need help with is some encouragement!!!!

I went to play soccer last night and I was totally UNABLE to run for more than 10 minutes.

As a coach and former soccer player, I got so depressed last night and frustrated. I know I can get back in shape, not the same way I used to be obviously but I know I have what it takes to keep on playing soccer at an amateur/competitive level. I can't ask my kids to "run" on a game if I can do it myself. It's just the way I am. Again, I know I'm no a kid but I'm letting myself go by being lazy and unmotivated to be as fit as I can be.

I would appreciate some "likes" as form of support and/or some encouraging messages.

I want to workout every day, use my bike and gym equipment that I have in my basement.

Thank you in advance for your time :)

- Vic

Not always our body, our strength the same as yesterday. Not always timing is ours. Sometimes we need to stop to realize it is too much. It is fine to a person who are depressed, desperate and frustrate as part of life. Look back the situation and accept what is the reality. You need to see the doctor, maybe something wrong happen in your health already. Much better to do this before it is too late. Game is game, sometimes we loss, sometime we win. But as my advised love yourself first.

Regards,

Nila

Hi Ya,

First of all , we are glad you are reaching out for support and we are glad you voice you know you are not a kid. We all need to be realistic with our goals, be 16 to 116.

With that being said it does not give us excuses just an appropriate plan of care if you will.

Here are my tips that I must use daily
1. Know the importance of your mindset
Our words are powerful -
'Garbage In -Garbage out"
Before my feet hit the ground in the morning I pray - for guidance and to be a better person - so I can be better for others
God does Not make junk , so why would allow negative thoughts, yes, I know they sneak in, BUT we can control how to react when they do -yes we can.

Regarding getting 'back in shape"
2. Place pictures of you at your healthiest or your goal pictures everywhere in your home - Visuals are awesome

3. Accountability is a powerful tool -
Shout out weekly what you have done to work toward your goals.
Hope this helps
You control your outcome !

Ask yourself why you are not motivated. Work positively on the answer. You know what you need to do. Push yourself to get up and do it in spite of how you feel.

You will get there set achievable goals. Maybe start walking 15 to 20 min daily.
Setting goals to high only adds to depression. Maybe a stationary bike,
Best of luck and blessings,
Scarlett and Elaine

Hello Victor,
I don't know what your relationship is with the Lord, only he can and will help you if you ask him to he is a very present help in a time of trouble, lean on trust rely on him, we can't live this life without the help of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He don't want you just to cope with those feels of depression he wants to set you free from depression, and give you his joy. the word of GOD says that the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Words are powerful, the bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue, speak life over yourself, your family, over your situation and watch the Lord do a mighty work in you.

Make a decision to change the way you think, take little steps at a time to change the way you eat, you have to say I am strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, I can and will do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me, its a matter of making a decision the choice is up to you.

Be encourage Victor all is well with you this too soon shall pass.
I will be praying for you.

Cynthia

I have had back surgery and have never been the same since. Once back in shape I am sure you can play soccer again. From my personal experience I just had to relearn what my limitations are. This is my struggle, yours seems a little different. I'm sure if you hit the gym and slowly get back into shape you will be back to your former self.

Best wishes
Jason

I appreciate the support man!

Best is to see a doctor and seek causes

I think is more laziness and excuses on my end but all the support will get me going!!

Oh ok... fantom stuff...
Better chase them
;-)

Start practice visualizing, and see the results you want. Close your eyes for 5 minutes and feel that you won the game, see the great work of the defenders and the beautiful goals your team made. How many by the way?
Focus that it is all done breath.
This needs some practice but you better start right now!
Good luck!

Stay positive my friend, focus on your strength that you have inside of you. That burning desire inside you will get you through it all.

I appreciate your words!!!

Hey Victor

I was in the same place. I went to the dr and he told me some bad news about my health. I was overweight, out of shape, and unhealthy, I was a 2 sport college athlete and used to be in fantastic shape. I let myself go for many reasons.

Anyway. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror and just got up one morning at 2:30am and went for a run. I have lost 20 pounds and feel great. You can do it man. If you need encouragement let me know. Hang tough and be confident.

Gabe
