Hi everyone
I need your help, please.
Does anyone know how to add a link to a button when someone subscribes to receive an e-book

I have been thinking about this since 2 am. With a pop up you will need to approach this with your auto responder. When they sign up an email can be set up to go out. The url for the ebook will need to be in the email. But it has to be set up to go out after they confirm their subscription. I am not sure if you can do this with a free email auto responder.

Another way to do this would be to use an email capture form on a page. Place a call to action button on your posts, offering a free e-book, link it to a page with the email capture. Then automatically direct that page to another page that links to the e-book.

The problem with this is, they have not confirmed their email but they got the book. But you can inform them on the email capture page that as soon as they confirm their email address you will send the e-book. This will have to be done individually with each address you receive.

So we are back to square one. Best to do this with an email auto responder. It saves time.

Hi Vick

I hate popuPS you ever go to a news site during your research?
there over encumbered with ads and popups your trying to read an article and popup, damn things.

I would recommend mailchimp autoresponder for your popup they offer a free account up to a 1k subscribers
You can get a landing page for your book you'll also need to upload it to mailchimp whether your charging for it or it's free

They make list building simple
Charles

Thanks Charles- Will go take a look, thank you

Hey Vicki,

What are you using to create that popup:
* an autoresponder (if so, they supply instructions)
* or a plugin?

If a plugin, what is the name of the plugin?

I'm using mailer lite the free one Trish

See screen print below...

Thanks Trish
I tried to set it up but I still had a challenge so changed my provider and voila it's done
Thank you for your help
Lucky I'm only just starting to gain traction with subscribers and got it sorted out
Onward we go :)
Vicki

I used the pop ups too. The reason I asked is because I subscribed to Aweber and that function is impregnated when you insert your custom link .

Who is your email service company?
