Hello to all you WA Rock Stars!!!!

I just have to get this written because I really want to hear from anyone who finds writing reviews a challenge.

I love writing but when it comes to reviews, even though I do them regularly, every time it comes to researching and everything else it doesn't make me smile.

Necessary

I remember awhile ago now, I was going through Grace's training and she mentioned how challenging it was for her when it came to writing reviews and how she just did it because the results will be worth it. Traffic, referrals and when I watched this, I knew because Grace knows how to truly make money online, I would do this as well.

Then SAC of course where writing reviews is part of this challenge... Hmm this must be for the same reason, grace mentioned so best I quit being a sook and get writing.

Treats work well

I decided to make it kinder on myself, I now write 1 review, then 1 post on something I want to share and rinse and repeat and this is what I do consistently and it really does make things easier

I had to share this as this was my cure for review writing, even though I know it's time now to write another review so I best get to work.

Thanks for stopping by as always and I would love to know what cool things you do to help with the review writing we do.

I'm looking forward to comments :)

Vicki

It isn't the writing that is difficult. It is the subject matter that we must contend with. It seems that I am not the only one who has this problem. I have no problem writing thousands of words on topics I enjoy, but can't get started on something that doesn't interest me.

Great article, Vicki.

Chuck

Yes, it is a difficult subject when you don't like the product and have to write at least 1000 explaining it to people but I guess somethings we have to grin and get on with
Thanks, Chuck
Good to know people dislike reviews too :)
Vicki

Yes,reviews are a pain. I am not interested in writing and researching something that is of no interest to me. It's too difficult and takes too much time. The trick is to find something that is of interest. Water filters worked well but am a little stuck after that.
Alister

Hi Alister
Yes, I hear you there and I hope you can find more thing that you enjoy to review
GO well
Vicki

It depends. Sometime I don't have any issues with writing review. But when I am about to write 3rd one in a row I am like "not again"

So I go to write about something else (black or white SEO) and that feel refreshing.

Yes Michal- We need the balance don't we
Glad you have it sorted
Go well
Vicki

New Zealanders, Australian, some Canadians, use the word “sook” I had to look it up to find out what it means. I now know what it means. I like, “I quit being a sook.” Thats exactly what I need to do. How did you do that? My problem is word paralysis, just like my body with my MS. Awesome that you were able to get pass that.

Hi Brenda
Yes, writing one I enjoy, then a review sure makes things easier
This is how I got through
Keep being great
Vicki

Hullo,
Actually, I'm not sure I understand what 'Writing a Review' IS. Is it This... that I am now writing... to You? Or, is it sump'n else that I just haven't figured out, yet? Would love to be enlightened.

For the record, I've never heard the term, 'Sook,' before. Never mind... the way you use it... well, I'm pretty sure by the interesting way that you write... you're NOT a sook.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

~ Yaya

Hi Yaya- Good to see you- It's been ages.
OK, a review is when you write information about a product to help people know more about the product before they purchase
It can be a good review or a negative review as long as it's helpful
I hope this helps
Go well
Vicki

Yes, thank you, that helps very much.

I guess I Have written reviews; quite a number of them, in fact. I jus' never realized that That was what I was doin'. 'Course, I haven't written any on my website 'cause I can't seem to figure out what I'm doin', on there. *Sigh*

thanks for the blog, it looks like i need to really get into this review thing and see how it goes.

I tried a few times last year but was not really seriously into review, may be i need to change my mind set about review.

thanks for the good article on review

Thanks and best regards
Chee Shi

Hello Chee Shi - Yes reviews help people with their decision making so it is always good to write reviews
1 review and 1 post on something you enjoy
Go well
Vicki

Never been a big fan of writing reviews, I too find myself interspersing blog posts that are non-review with those reviews.

Some of the products I review, I really do not even have any interest in, if I am to be totally honest. This is what makes research even harder.

Great post, Vicki:)!

Hi Kaju
Yes I feel the same way however it is something that is important as Kyle, Grace and loads of others say so doing it 1 review 1 for you is good
Thanks for stopping by
Vicki

Yep, its like taking bad medicine. But even the reviews I currently write, they are still on products and services I have personally tried firsthand.

I absolutely do not like writing reviews either. I have to put in twice as much research or more just to prepare for a review. I often get side-tracked by the website features that I am about to review also.

It's one of those things, in some cases, I wonder if the product, system, or website I am reviewing is a faster way to make money. I then have to remind myself in some cases as to why I am there.

So, you aren't alone in not liking doing reviews. I don't have any particular way of doing things to make them any better...is there truly a way to do that? I don't really think so...but, we press on anyway for the end results that we work for.

I do like your idea of writing a post you're interested in writing after writing the review. I may have to adapt to that method. It might make getting more posts on my site easier.

Thanks for the idea, Vicki.

I wish you the best!

Bob M

Thanks Bob and Yes, it eases the thought of it when you do 1 for you 1 for review so go well and enjoy
Vicki

I may have to try it. :-D

I totally agree. Necessary but painful and NO fun.
Kind of like following a sensible diet and exercising regularly, right?
I would love it if some created a Template for the Perfect Review.
Good Luck for future reviews.

Cheers,

Tim

I hear ya there Tim lol
I guess we all have our own way of presenting reviews but I have seen sample review template ideas in the training somewhere

I hope you find one that suits
Vicki

You know I share your love of reviews...lol...
Yes, they are getting easier for me,too, but I still don't like them. I do much what you do -- write one and then write a post on something I enjoy writing about. Seems to make it easier.

I agree, you must do what works for you!

totally get you Fran- we have plan my friend :)
