Too busy and disturbed to continue to carry this billing without getting anything out of it...

Do not want to cancel but need a 6 month break
How can I do this please

I certainly understand with everything going on how you may feel. The transfer and moving of websites can be more costly then leaving them here during the 6 month hiatus. If you do decide though the answers below will work.

l see you already have great answers below all the best!

As Grace said, you'll need to migrate your websites to another hosting provider to keep them active. Here are the instructions for moving yours sites: http://marionblackonline.com/move
Once your sites are safe you can cancel your membership

Hi Francis,

Who is experienced with elementor page builder?

Following the tutorials exactly but often I hit a brick wall when it does not do what it is supposed to?
What might I

I have one page I built with Elementor. So not much experience on my side. I learned by doing. Sometimes it can really waste your time.
Keep experimenting
All the best

Hey Francis,

Pagebuilders are resource hogs and if not setup properly can slow a website down a lot. Personally, I do not like using pagebuilders but I know other members swear by them.

Have you try the new Hello Theme (Free) as it was recommended by Elementor.

Is there a way to tell if a website you like is based upon a Theme or is a Custom built-from-scratch site?

For example: https://www.lightinthebox.com/

https://www.wpthemedetector.com/
This site will tell you which theme and which plugins if it can find them.

But that site you are after, it's an enormous one that is likely custom built.

My site is not yet complete as I am working on it little by little but it is indexed on goggle and the public can see it. Does this harm the future of the site? Should I have i

Yes, Francis! Publish and work on it ...
I had such thoughts too. But actually in the very beginning there is a little chance somebody will see your website.

So, out into the world!
:-))
Aloha, Jenna

I say make it live and just improve it as you go.

I like that idea. I have a new theme so just have about 10-20% of my content and images loaded, but who is going to find site unless they know exact domain. Thanks

Mark

Unless you tell them or they happen to find it in search...not many.

Personally, I have no problem making my sites live as soon as there's a reasonable structure in place. It gives Google a chance to index it so that you are already in the system, as it were.
Google likes a site to be built up slowly, rather than suddenly appear fully fledged.
The chances of anyone actually finding it at that stage are slim to none.
However, if you want to hide your site, there are plugins that you can activate that will put up an Under Maintenance sign, without restricting your ability to develop and view the site. Just search plugins for "under maintenance" or "under development" or similar.

Thanks for your input---
I appreciate it as I did not want to do any serious damage to the future.

Can you not just check the "no index" in settings?

Are there any drawbacks or problems with pointing multiple, similar domain names to one site?
For Example: Main Site scarvesnbags.com

We also own several other .com n

Two of the site could not be found by my browser. I always follow Triblu. It would be nice if you could incorporate all the sites into one.

Hey Francis,

Not sure why you would want to do that as Google won't rank the new site any better for having several domains forwarding to it.

However, to answer your question, I Googled the following:
"pros and cons of pointing several different domains to one domain" - (without the quotation marks of course) and there are several discussions... even videos, offered on this topic.

You may be able to glean great info from those should you decide to run the same (or similar) search.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for the input... My thinking is that, since we own the names perhaps those names entered (on purpose or in error) may send the main site more traffic? Does that make sense?

This makes perfect sense. Will it work the way we're thinking it might... maaaaaybe not... then again, maybe one of those posts or videos will offer you a better idea.
