Is there a way to organize the Feedback comments so they appear in the order that they were given?

I don't understand why I have to scroll through the whole list to find

Veronica, that will be a great incentive added.

I know... it really is annoying to have to scroll through everything to read the most recent comment or feedback. If it wasn't for "new" highlighted in red, it would take forever!

Looks like we all agree that this would be a wonderful feature to have. Perhaps someone in the community with tech savvy could assist management.

So it seems, Mojalefa.

Thanks for commenting.

Good ygood thinking. I believe ss.

Seems like I'm not the only one who would want this feature.

Thanks for asking this...maybe the WA team will see this and take action - they are so good at making our experience here more UX friendly.
Cheers - Orion

I agree, Orion, they definitely take care of us.

I doubt this would be on the top of their "things to do" list, but it certainly would be nice if they could make that update.

Thanks for your comment.

I've been frustrated about this as well, Veronica. The feedback is at least portioned out in sections that discuss distinct webpages. However, I can find feedback to my blog roll landing page in about a half dozen different places.

If the powers that be could just consolidate the blog roll feedback into one spot and alphabetize the other pages receiving feedback, then it would be a little easier to go back and review them to get an idea of how I have progressed over time.

Jim

You articulated that perfectly, Jim.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

That would be a great idea V! Hopefully this can be arranged.

Thanks
~Mark :)

Wouldn't that be lovely, Mark!

Hi Veronica
This is a brilliant idea!
Please write to WP and request the feature! :-)
(I am trying to keep my answers shorter - trying to get more done in the same time!) LOL!
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Hmm... good suggestion, Sharlee. Thanks!

I don't have an answer for there but that is a good idea though. When I get an email I organize there. But on the website no I just take it as they come. I never thought of organizing the comments before I just organized my email. Sorry I couldn't help you out more.

I think I'll send Kyle or Carson a PM and see what happens. Granted, these comments are just a tiny drop compared to the number of members that are actually on this platform, but I'm sure others feel the same.

Thanks for stopping by, Mary.

That is a wonderful idea to contact Kyle or Carson they would definitely know for sure I know I would like to arrange my comments in order too. You are very welcome

I absolutely agree, that would be a great feature - I have the same problem as you when it comes to finding the latest feedback :)

It's not a major hassle, but it is a bit annoying.

Exactly Veronica :)

Nope - poked all around and the only thing you can do is filter it by site if you have feedback on multiple sites. Great suggestion for a new feature though.

Oh, man! When I saw that you had answered my question, I was certain you had the key, Mel.

Yes, that would be a great feature. A gal can dream...

As I continue to revamp my older posts, I've noticed that many of them do not have External Links.

For whatever reason, my mind is drawing a blank. Aside from Wikipedia

You're welcome to view either of my blogs and see if you can get some ideas for how to integrate links. I have done quite a bit on my lifestyle blog at www.kingdomofheavenambassador.com and my business blog is www.howtoentrepreneur.org. I have a few affiliate offers integrated in my first post there. Maybe you can get some ideas.

I appreciate you sharing this, Tiffany. I'll definitely take a look.

This is great, I've never really given allot of thought to links, I'm not sure why, I guess I'm still getting a grasp of the incredible vastness of w/A, i also thought that eventually I would recieve some great ideas to post, lol. That's why I i need all of you to keep posting, and I'll keep learning. Thanks Pat

There are a lot of moving parts, Paul, do it's easy to overlook something. Hopefully the responses to my question gave you some deeper insight.

Great question Veronica. One of my site is on scuba diving and yes, I do use wikipedia and places like the scuba diving teaching organization, National Geographic, statistics on dive incidents, researchers on ocean life, eco-systems.

OK, so that sounds similar to what Glen and Shelly said. Sometimes the simplest things can have you stumped, so I appreciate your reply, Monica.

This is great info to know! thank you for asking Veronica! I am still learning so, I won't be much here but, I have linked to Google's blog before, especially when it pertains to what I am talking about..

And, if I am talking about something outside of Google, I link to other successful bloggers like entrepreneur, neil patel, makingscentsofcents, smart passive income, but I guess if you are in a different niche they may not work. I don't know.

I see someone shared a Jay webinar here so I'll have to watch that myself too...

I've accepted the fact that I'll be forever learning, Kisha. It just goes to show you that so many people can benefit when people ask questions. Glad you were able to get some useful tips from this, Kisha.

Thank you, Veronica! I am with you, forever learning which is a great thing...

Yes, Neil Patel is good. I assumed he was ranking high but, never knew he actually was. Thanks for sharing...

This is good info. to know:). Thanks for asking, Veronica!

Glad you got something from it too, Suzi.

I have a dog niche website and provide recipes. One had peanut butter and I wondered how healthy peanut butter was for dogs. When I researched it, I discovered one of my favorite dog magazines and some others had info about pb and dogs. I learned some things that I thought I would share with my readers. I linked to the magazine, creating an article with info from several magazines and then included a link to my recipe that had pb in it. So I got an internal and external link.

That was the long answer! Short answer is digital magazines.

I like long answers, Shelly, lol. Thank you!

Use references that add credibility to what you are talking about like books, programs, courses, videos, or affiliate offers.

Great tips, Tiffany. Thank you.

If I published a post in July and received comments that same month, but then edited my post and updated the date to reflect a current date, would I be able to update the dates

Good afternoon Veronica.

Lately, I was struggling with the H1, 2, and 3. I got it partially ok now on my posts and pages, at least the first 2.
My total website now says Last Updated On: Dec 11. It is a bit like a facelift for your website and it shows the visitor that you work on it to keep it actualized.

greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

I know about updating my posts, Taetske, I was just wondering if there was a way to update the dates on comments. But I like the suggestion that BobBarr gave.

Greetings, from New York!

I wouldn't change anything.I think it's better if I lose something in ranking, but not lose the trust of a reader who did that comment. We want our readers to come again.
I don't even like an idea of updating old posts, but I realise it's necessary because some very good posts may be somewhere there, in the beginning- and not everybody will scroll our site down as much. Now I saw - a good idea comes from Bob.:)

I appreciate what you shared, Vera. Should I decide to update a few posts, I'll take Bob's suggestion.

Yep, me too. It's a simple, honest and beautiful decision.:)

Rather than altering comment dates, it may be better to indicate that the post has been updated and the date the update occurred.

I appreciate your comment, Bob. It's funny, but that came to mind just as I was posting this question. Where would I indicate that this post has been updated?

You could just include a brief paragraph before the post body to let people know when and why the update was done. (A sentence or two would be sufficient.)

There is also a "Last updated plugin" if you desire.

Great idea, Bob. Thanks!

I doubt that's a plugin that I would use often, but thanks for the tip, David.

Good afternoon Veronica,

This also drives me up the wall. I am far ahead with writing and then I sit twiddling my thumbs waiting for the text to appear.
To then correct with Grammarly takes also at least twice as long.
It has always been like that.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Greetings from New York!

It might be the processor on your computer. If you don't have a quick processor, things you do can be slowed. Also, too many windows open at one time can slow process. I've had that happen a couple of times. A dual-core processor is usually better than quad-core...

I really haven't noticed if I have multiple windows open when I'm attempting to create a PM, I'll have to make a mental note about that. Thanks, Dean!

nope - not a problem - maybe you shouldn't be writing to them.
Tech is tellingyou to get on with your work!! lol
Hope you get it sorted.
Maybe clear out your browser cache, make it poor again!
Phil

Hahaha....OK, Phil, you win...No more PM...ever!!!

Bet you can't keep to that - :-)
Have you sorted it?

Watch out for the new virus - loaded in a bogus flash player update!
Called Bad rabbit - almost too cute to be a virus but it is ransomware, jsut released!

Gosh....these viruses are relentless! Thanks for the tip, Phil.

I had the same exact problem yesterday...I use grammarly and I thought it was caused by it. Do you use grammarly?

Yes, I use Grammarly.

This reminds me of those commercial about a drug that alleviates one ailment, only to cause 3 other more serious issues!!! Good grief! You'd think I would have learned to spell by now!

No, I don't have any issues with writing a PM.
I'm sorry, can't say why you have this problem.

My issue is rather the email notifications. Every now and then I don't receive notifications for two days. Then suddenly on the third day I receive hundreds of notifications at once. The support team said it must be a email server problem and suggested me to change to an Gmail account.

Hope you find the answer really soon!
:-)

WOW! That's strange, Pernilla. Has that been going on for a while?

Yes, since this summer. Not regularly, but now and then.
Don't know if it's because of my email server really. Hope it won't happen again. Well, when it happens I look at my WA notification board, but it's just more comfortable to find all notifications in my privat mailbox.

Have you found the answer of your issue? Is Grammarly causing this?

Greetings, Sweet Pernilla!

I was out and about pretty much all day into the evening yesterday, so I really was just responding to comments. I'll definitely have more time to play around with the PM today and tomorrow and see if any of what people suggested worked.

Hello again you Beauty!
Wish you good luck!
:-)

Not at all I have had PM twice in the last two hours

Paul

I can send and receive PM's without an issue. It's creating the PM that causes me a problem. I'll do what was suggested. Thanks for your reply, Paul.

I just sent you a PM for you to see if you have any issues with answering them.:)
Mine work fine, only couldn't figure out how to edit them, but it's not a very big deal. Just try to be attentive writing.:)

I'll try what was suggested to see if it makes a difference. If not, I'll contact Carson, especially since I'm not the only one that has this issue.

You get a giant "E" for "Effort", Vera!

I'm exchanging a lot of private messages and I don't have that problem Veronica.

Thanks for responding, Marion. I'm going to try the suggestions given to see if it makes a difference.

I have always easily done my PM with no issues. Sorry about this.

No worries. Thanks for responding.

Hey Veronica,

Just sent you a test PM and it left my account okay. It might be a browser issue, so you might want to try another browser and send me a test PM. If that doesn't work, I can contact Carson for you if you'd like.

There are a few things people suggested that I'll give a try over the next few days to see if it makes a difference. I appreciate the PM's you sent, Trish Thanks!

here have been several times when I had a question, that the answer was given to me, by directing me to a class within the WA Bootcamp.

I haven't started yet.

From what I saw, Bootcamp seems to fill in the gaps of the certirication and is a lot more involved.

What you learn anywhere can be used in your site.

Makes sense, James.

Problem is that there is sooooo much to learn, and it can become rather confusing...to say the least.

I'm so grateful that we can go at our own pace. Imagine if we had a specific schedule to complete the certification...I would have been doomed!

LOL.... I tend to agree with you there... I mean I too would have been doomed :)

I would have been doomed also. One thing for certain, I constantly think about WA. I need to always carry a note pad because I constantly get ideas to write about as I do my daily chores. Hopefully, once I get my site presentable and workable, I will be able to establish a rhythm between it and my other duties.

Carrying a notepad is a great idea, Rowena. I think I'll start doing that. Thanks!

The information is useful both for Bootcamp and for the other sites. Completing the Bootcamp course is a great idea.

I'm leaning more towards starting sooner rather than later, Pablo.

I have worked in information technology field for the last 30 years and am no stranger to business and technical training.

What I like about the training, both the certification and bootcamp is the down to basics, soup to nuts Website and SEO traffic building methodologies. This is why I am a paying member of wealthy affiliate, the quality of the content and the friendliness of the community.

I haven't completed either of the training in their entirety but am slowly working my way through them.

The great thing about gaining knowledge and learning new skills is taking that knowledge and applying it to other applications. I am using what I learn here to all of my sites even those not hosted here.

It's people that already have extensive knowledge like yourself, Jim, that give this platform so much integrity.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

This is good to know!

Great!

I'm just getting started in this business venture
The one thing I've learned is your going to be frustrated
At times feeling stupid and wondering if this is a waste of time and energy. But if it was easy everybody would be doing it
Trust me a lot of people aren't Stay the course build your website to make money. Be smart but most of all be patient
Rome wasn't built in a day. A successful business won't be either. Trust the coursework and get a WordPress manual
It's a great 30 dollar investment

Ah, I'm a bit confused about your response, Gary. I've already completed the certification, I just wanted some general info on Bootcamp.

I have wondered the same thing and want to do it to see what I can learn.

It looks interesting, Jessica.

This is one of my questions too as I haven't done the Bootcamp as yet. Thanks, Veronica :)

I just read the 1st lesson and watched the video; granted it was just an introduction, but I got the impression that it fills in the gaps of the certification.

Great, thank you, Veronica :) :)

Bootcamp gets in more detailed

Gotcha! Thanks!

Hi Veronica, it was suggested to me that it is a benefit to do the Bootcamp courses for my personal website.

Once I have my website ready for visitors, I'll start going through it. Not everything is taught in the starter courses, just the basics and some of the lessons were outdated as I found out later.

That's interesting, but I am not completely surprised. There really are quite a number of helpful tips not found in the certification.

Thanks for your reply, Patsy...Ooops...R.A. Patsy!

You are welcome R.A.V ;)
