Walk On The Moon
Fulfill Your Dreams...
There's a story of a child who one day, went outside with his mom to their garden, while the moon was still visible. The little boy excitedly told his mother,
"Mom, someday, I will walk on the moon!"
His mother was quick to chide him, saying that it was impossible, and that he should put such foolish thoughts out his mind. Again, the boy stated,
"Yes, mom. I will walk on the moon!"
It took many years, but through hard work and a focused commitment, that little boy was able to fulfill his dream, and went on to be on of the astronauts who walked on the moon as part of the Apollo space program!
So...what your "walking on the moon" story?
Strive to Thrive,
Veronica

Hi Veronica, good to see you, I really like that story.
This is classic but if you ask a 5 to 7-year-old what they are going to do when they grow up job wise, they will tell you just about down to the job, salary, husband or wife, kind of house, car and how many kids they will have.
That may sound bizarre, but it is true, so in later years and life has got in the way, go back to the time in your younger years and reinvent it is never too late.
This especially works if you are searching for your life's purpose and if you cannot remember just ask someone close to you they certainly will, it sticks in folk's minds because of the clarity of how it was expressed.
Dreams are made and programmed way back it is our actions that create them.
I totally agree, Professor!
I remember being in 3rd grade and a teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Without even thinking, I blurted out, "An artist!"
It was just a few years ago, when chatting with some friends, that I realized that I became just that. Not in the traditional sense of painting and drawing, but I've decorated for weddings and other special events, planned events, and engage in doing various crafts.
The irony of life is that as adults, we have to fight to get back what we already had as children.
We all must strive and thrive on a daily basis to reach our goals. If we continue and not give up, then we will meet our goals.
Hey Veronica, you're post totally reminded me of an article I read today - we really don't know what the jobs of the future may be sometimes with technology moving so fast. The article was titled '19 jobs least likely to be replaced by robots' (I wasn't sure if appropriate to include a link here)
You know, one of my thoughts to what you shared was, "Yep, technology is really taking over." But the fact is, people created the technology that is taking over. So in essence, humans are responsible for the decline of human labor...
OK...this is getting a bit grim...let's refocus on the little boy with his big dreams!
It doesn't have to be, when technology is taking over mundane tasks, to leave us free to do more high level tasks or simply to enjoy lifestyle. How many robots have lifestyle as a priority? :)
Hmmm...that's one way of looking at it, not sure if the people that are being robbed of their jobs thanks to technology would feel the same.
