Pixabay Pooey
Pooey: a slang used to express disdain or distaste.
I know..it's a bit harsh, but that about sums up my feelings with Pixabay. I'll admit it, they have given me some good images, but it's so time-consuming. Oh, and another pet peeve is that I'll type in keyword and it gives me images that are not even related to what I typed! I know...it's free, but still...
They say that taking your own images is really the best, but that may not always be feasible. Quite a few members have written posts, sharing where to get free images, but I think Loes provides one of the most extensive lists I've seen:

There's one that I came across that may be a match in heaven:
Many sites state "free images" but then you discover that you have to pay for credits in order to use the images. As with anything, you definitely want to read the terms and conditions carefully, but it's looking like Foter may be a winner!
OK...semi rant over...Pixabay is great...it's just not great for me.
Strive to Thrive,
Veronica

Thank you for sharing my training:) As with Pixabay, also Footer has no guarantee to be totally free in the terms, they both do not take full responsibility for the uploads, Veronica
I actually printed your training, Loes so I refer to it regularly.
Yes, I'm slowly noticing the different categories of "free", lol.
I now only use the images that WA have given us which I get from Site Content editor. All of the main sites photos are in there anyway, but with the added advantage that they have already been optimised.
Taking them directly from the free sites meant I had to optimise myself.
With Grace and Gratitude

I'm so used to just checking Pixabay, I totally overlooked the images in Site Content. DUH!!! I'll definitely check it out. Thanks, Karen!
Yes I agree. It is frustrating at times.
In the age of digital cameras and the like, let's create a new pastime for ourselves. That of taking our own pics in creative ways.
Could be fun if we approach it the right way.
I think I'll start looking for opportunities to take my own pictures, David. In that particular moment, it was well after 9 pm, so I didn't have the resources to do such. I may just have to include "imaging taking" into my schedule, now.
This looks so inviting. I'm glad you shared it. I will definitely be checking into this!!

Hi Veronica, free is nor always free. It is best to read the terms and conditions. Irv.
Yes indeed, Irv!
