Excerpts from the book, The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino.

The Greatest Salesman in the World was written to serve as a guide for success in business and in life, as seen through the life of a camel boy, Hafiid, as he embarks on his journey to become the greatest salesman in the world.

Over the next 10 days, we will explore the 10 principles of success, found in the scrolls given to Hafid, centuries ago.

The Scroll Marked VI:

"Today I will be master of my emotions."

"Weak is he who permits his thoughts to control his actions; strong is he who forces his actions to control his thoughts."

Personal Thoughts:

Question: When it comes to business, what is the initial thing that guides your actions: emotions, facts or a combination of the two?

Learning to keep our emotions under control is a fantastic accomplishment.

Yes indeed, Pablo.

This is excellent Vero! Indeed life is a combination of action, emotions and choices. This also is applicable to every business. Thanks for your post.

The key is knowing when to know to allow which factor to use. It can get tricky sometimes. Thanks for stopping by, Paul.

A very educative read.

Thanks!

Veronica - Great thoughts on mastering your emotions. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for stopping by, Patrick.

Ohhhhh. As Co-creators we have to learn to determine our emotions, actions and life circumstances. Emotions, habits and life circumstances are fruits of our thoughts which we speak in faith and with desire. (Marc 11:23-24)

Excellent!

In my business its mostly facts but for myself emotions are involved as well. Hard to rule out both depending on the individual.

I agree, perhaps emotions get you in and the facts get you to stay...or or it the other way around...

It is hard not for emotions to influence one's actions I feel so I'd have to say a combo, Veronica :)

Sometimes if those emotions overpower us, they can lead us down the wrong path. I think it would be difficult not to have both "forces" involved.

I have to confess, it is a combo!

I think initially, it will be facts, but emotions come into play very quickly.

Great daily resolution Veronica!

Thank you, Papa.

Hi Veronica,

This is interesting.
So interesting that those books are really worn out.

I love the quote for emotions!

Yes, these books will be with me for life.
