Kyle Made Me Do It
OK....Kyle...Carson...the entire Wealthy Affiliate Community....what the heck am I rambling about you ask...
I SIGNED UP FOR THE YEARLY MEMBERSHIP!!!!!
2017 had it's share of a few medical issues (still on-going), and financial challenges...definitely financial! I have 2 part-time jobs, but I work less than 10 hours a week....yes, just 10 hours a week. On one hand, that leaves a LOT of time to build my business; on the other hand, not having a steady income probably caused me a lot more stress than I wanted to admit.
Not once...not twice...but 3 times my monthly membership was suspended due to non-payment. I'm still embarrassed to share this, but I do so in the hopes to encourage anyone who may be in a similar situation. There is hope! Even as I was about to make the payment for the yearly membership this morning, I couldn't help but think about how I could pay for 3-5 different things with that money. Pay one thing vs. pay a few things. What's a gal to do...
I chose to pay for the one great thing: Wealthy Affiliate!!!
Now, I'm not advocating ignoring your responsibilities; for me, I just knew that I had to do something drastic. I'm really good at rationalizing my way out of something good. Another word for it: self-sabotage. I have bills...they will get paid...a bit late, but they'll get paid. There's nothing that's so earth-shattering that can't wait. Being able to rid myself of the monthly membership had been on my mind ever since I missed out on the WA Black Friday special last year, so I was determined to take advantage this time around.
So...Now What!!!
The list of what I need to do moving forward almost seems endless...yet exciting! One of my biggest hurdles is social media. I can't for the life of me understand my hesitation (fear?) of using social media to my advantage. It's really quite interesting (annoying) considering how much I like to socialize (talk incessantly). Whether I jump over it or crawl my way to the top, I will conquer social media! This will require me reviewing those lessons again, and actually watching some tutorials on social media. But more importantly...I just need to act.
I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times This Community Rocks! I am so grateful that the Lord has directed me to Wealthy Affiliate; for the vision of Kyle and Carson; for Jay's incredible webinars; the insight and knowledge that comes through with the training and tutorials from fellow WA members; and for the warmth and generosity, from many on whom I can "friend".

Yaaaaaay!! So happy for you, Veronica! I know its a huge leap of faith to invest all that money in one whack but I'm here to tell you it's definitely worth it.
I was in a similar position last Black Friday and had to ask (err beg) my hubby to cover me for one more year. He paid for my Black Friday Special last year - Bless his cotton socks!
And it paid off... my online income has been steadily growing and this month I've earned $447 already... so I was able to pay for my Black Friday Special with my online income! Yippeee!
May you start earning exponentially now too.

Ah, Lauren...I so appreciate you sharing your, ah...humble beginnings, lol. Thank goodness for hubbies with cotton socks!
My plan is to make that money back ASAP!!! Even though I completed the Certification months ago, I think I may just use the rest of this year to review each lesson and see which areas on my site need to deleted, tweaked, or a complete overhaul.
I had already started with Bootcamp, but I never got passed course 1, so I may just wait until the new year, to restart and not stop until I finish.

Yes, yes and YES!! Awesome to know that you're going to be here full time Veronica! I'm so happy for you. Can't wait to see your success blossom. And do take care of your health (I'm sure that you do) - and I can understand this one - BIG TIME!! IT's a big part of the reason I joined WA in the first place.

You know, I think we were in pretty much the same boat, Veronica! I was on the fence about spending that money or using it for other "needs" but, you know, going yearly was the best decision I could have made. I felt such a HUGE relief when I finally clicked that upgrade button. Thanks for sharing the link to this post with me, on my post about upgrading. I'm happy, happy for us both!

I wish I could give you a big hug. I can relate all too well to what you have said. You are so awesome!
I think both of us will enjoy our annual membership, which allows to us to save a lot of money. Plus, we won't have the stress about what happens if we can't pay it when it is due.
It is going to be great when we get to the point that we will laugh about the sacrifices we made while building our businesses.

Interestingly enough, I was talking with a friend after service yesterday, and she was sharing with me how her faith has grown over the last year. The lesson she learned is that GOD responds according to the "size" of our faith.

Whoop you did it... so pleased for you! Now that this commitment has been made we all have to keep focussed and prove to ourselves that we knew we could make it worthwhile! Now you don't have to worry about it, or even think about it, for a full year. That's what I did last year and it was nice not to scramble each month to find the money. I wish I could do it again this year.
Anyhow, I expect to see big things from you over the next 12 months!

It was tight, to say the least, but it definitely is a relief to be able to say "goodbye" to those monthly payments. Hopefully, "The Dude" will send some more orange cards your way and allow things to pick up for you, Craig.

All I can say, Veronica, is that I think you made a wise choice. Firstly, you actually saved money over the future monthly payments, but I don't need to remind you that. Second, you've paid for the forthcoming year and don't need to worry about finding the $49 each month for the next year, nor whether your membership is going to be suspended again - and don't be ashamed about sharing the hiccups, as we've all been there :). Thirdly, by paying upfront, and saving money, you have secured the opportunity, and bought yourself more time, to learn more and more. Which is actually great!!!
One last thing. You can, and you will, I'm sure, master social media. I'm all in favour of protecting my privacy and the one of my family. I know you are an intelligent woman, and you will manage to remain in control of your virtual interactions. I found Facebook and Instagram most successful for marketing, followed by Twitter.

There were a few times when I figured I would just pay the monthly fee and just wait until January or February to sign p for the yearly membership; but there was a part of me that knew that if I didn't sign up now, I may never do it.
I believe there is such a thing as being too cautious sometimes.
