I have a theme that has a custom link title home I deleted it in menu structure but it is still on my web page. I want my page 1 to be the first thing people see on my website

Marion got your answer

Speaking of themes. I seem to have three themes I do not care for. I don;t know how I got them. How do I delete them? Help, anyone?

Sorry, I cannot help you, Vernon, just DON'T GIVE UP!

Login into your wordpress dashboard.

Hover over "Appearance" and click on "Themes" (#1 below)

Click on the theme you want to delete (#2 below)

In the lower right corner, click on the "Delete" link (#3 below)

Note: The Delete link will not be displayed for the theme that's currently your active theme.

Thanks, BobBara. This is a great help. If you are up to helping this nerd some more,,,,,, well, here goes......Does the writing that exists on the themes disappear as you type in your content? I suppose I should just try it...too fearful of messing it all up or do you have a plug-in for everything?
Thanks, again for your help

The sample text that comes with the theme should be deleted and replaced with your own content. Since you'd be using the regular wordpress Edit function to do that, no plugin is required for that.

Go to Settings > Reading and select your chosen home page or your latest posts. Save the settings.

Thanks MarionBlack that was exactly what I was looking for. Bonus points for you! :)

Steven does have a good point. I was not really able to follow your issue very well..

believe those themes with stuck homepage links, can still be linked up through general settings - reading. Or perhaps through the theme customization.

If not, than choosing a different theme without such home button will solve the issue you are experiencing.

sounds like choosing a different theme is the best solution if can't cancel the unwanted themes. Thanks, StevenEsser.
