With the school year ending in schools all over the world and teachers and students going on summer holidays, and my yesterday's post "Rick the Teacher", and this wonderful Wealthy Affiliate community where we learn from each other and consequently, teach each other, it's only logical to highlight this wonderful, exhausting, fantastic, stimulating, demanding profession. You love it and you hate it . I know. I am a teacher. It takes the whole of you, but it gives you a lot. The feeling of joy and satisfaction is incomparable to anything else when you see people progress. You do not only teach your subject, you participate in forming a personality.

ou say, multitasking? Just think for a minute.

Hahaha... I never realised that! Where's Rick with his recent blog post?

New teaching techniques:

Old proven methods

One child at a time.

Sometimes , at advanced levels , it's good not to even show where to look. They should know by that time....:)

Couldn't agree more. It's almost always improvisation and theatre.

We are all learners here in WA, and we are teachers. Never hesitate to help others with what you know. As a teacher , I know: teaching others, you learn yourself.:)

Thanks for sharing, Vera! I was a classroom teacher to primary and secondary grades for 4 years, everything in your post rings true :)
I believe that the educational system should change in many countries, it's not conducive to proper learning and development. And that's where a single caring teacher can shine, by not following blindly the administrative pointers but by truly caring about the students as individuals.

And the fact that teachers are under-paid and unappreciated has led many good professionals I know to change career paths... It's sad, and shouldn't be so for people for which teaching is truly a life calling and not just a profession!

Remarkable Quotes , thanks for sharing, I can still remember that our teachers were like our Parents at School , rejoiced in our accomplishments and achievements and shared in our grief and sorrow , gave encouragement when needed. Currently it is unfortunate that in most countries and cases Teachers are not valued , honored and paid as they ought to be. WA produces the best Teachers , students , learners and Graduates.[ and Ambassadors ].

Teachers do an awesome job. My thanks to all who teach us here in WA!

Yes, I am with you in it, Carol..:)

I like your starting quote and your last sentence most. Thanks for sharing Vera!

We are all involved in teaching in some form here Vera. The Greatest of All spent the majority of His ministry teaching

Yes, so very true, Mike. Thanks for commenting.
Good we have an opportunity to learn from each other here.

Teachers should get paid more than professional athletes.

Teachers have the hardest jobs by keeping the kids interested in learning. And I don't understand how come teachers are so under paid, after all they are shaping the future generations.

I hope I'm not a false teacher and lead anybody to the wrong path.

Teacher is foundation of everything! Very true Vera!

HI Vera, teaching is way more than a profession, it is a calling. To be a teacher is to accept that you do not work a '9 -5', this is a 'way of life'! One of those jobs that you either love or shouldn't do, Sue :)

Yes, exactly, Sue. That's how it goes.:)
