Sunday.Job Application
Sunday fun, friends.It can't be an actual thing as they claim it is, of course.Though, who knows?
I once was helping an acquaintance of mine to fill in an application form for the US Green Card. There was a line about the language, something like "Your language competence" and variants- "Fluent English", "Can read" "Can read with a dictionary". I asked , aware that he didn't know English at all,- "What should we put here?"
He replied , absolutely seriously, "Write that I can read but I don't understand".The funniest thing was that he was not joking. hahaha...
And I did come across situations where people were embarrassed by the line "Sex"in their various application forms. English is sure confusing sometimes, especially for foreigners.
So maybe we could ask Rick or(who else is living there?) Cindy to check McDonalds in Florida and find the guy?
If not, it's still a cool way to learn to talk not only with the possible employers, but also deal with possible negative comments on our sites..And it's really an amusing and clever writing.Enjoy:

I actually worked with someone who had gone through "Hamburger University." True story and factual. Hamburger U is the training potential store managers and franchisees go through for McDonalds. This person later changed his career path and became an attorney. I was his paralegal/secretary for 15 years.
