With more and more people speaking English and bringing into it their own errors , with lower educational standards nowadays , English being the internet language and not too professional teachers, English is in danger. This post is meant to be fun, but it's serious, too.

English is beautiful, powerful language. It's high time people learned to use it better.

Keep your English tidy.

Dump all the wrong usages and words which make you and your English look bad. Learn to use "there's" and "theirs", "he's" and "his", "it's" and "its"(to mention just a few), dump overused cliches.

Speak beautiful English.

Good luck!:)

It maid me smile, Vera! Thanks for sharing!

Pleasure, Eric.:))

Young child answering the phone "Yes Jeffrey who is it?

Funny....

I like the one with all the had's. Craig's buffalo thing is a mind blower. :))

Leave applications are quite something too. Craig's phrase can have variations, I guess.:)

I'm still quite fond of the (actual and correct) sentence "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo."

Quite amusing- love it . Thanks.:)

Thanks again for the serious fun today.

My pleasure, Didi.:)

Don't be *too* concerned if you have some difficulty *to* distinguish the words "too" and "to". Those two words have been causing English writers problems for many years. Actually, all three of them have.

Strange enough. People just don't want to think sometimes. Thanks for commenting.:)

There are any number of similar traps in the English language. It can be quite difficult to keep all of them figured out. Words with different meanings which are spelled differently but pronounced exactly the same way can be especially difficult.

Comical...sad...interesting...terryifying...disturbing...all rolled up into one disastrous ball...

But I commend anyone who attemps to learn English, it's so confusing! I mean why have one word spelled 3 different ways:
to, too, two...really! We have 26 letters!!! They couldn't find ANY other combination!!!

Where on earth do you find thses, Vera!

Powerful internet, Veronica. I am just very articulate and always ask for what I want specifically. A fair amount of craziness is always there, as you understand.
Yeah, you are so right- English is both fun and funny with such a number of homonyms, homophones,. etc.But it makes it so very exciting and beautiful..:))

Yes English is a beautiful language.

That previous sentence was just a test. I was just trying out that thingamajig that allows you to speak your messages. Pretty cool...but, back to the topic...I never thought of it this way but English really is a tool, and as with any tool, if it's in the wrong hands (or mouth) it could prove to be disastrous.

Good stuff...thanks!

My pleasure, Arthur.:)

Lot of good laughs especially this one, "Dump all the wrong usages and words which make you you and your English look bad."

Thanks, Bill.:)

Thanks for sharing, Vera.

My pleasure, Rog:)
