Very poetic, dear, but with a shade of sadness(coming from the mouth of a flower lover- totally understand.)....:))
I always think I'm funny Vera but it's usually in my own mind...Not sure why I thought of a response along that line..It's not something I would actually act that way over in reality...but I laughed and laughed when I thought of it! I thought it was funny as heck! I'm weird that way! Few share my sense of humor! ;-)

Yeah, now I see it is. It could be even an advertising script of a florist's..With the slogan "Bring flowers to women! The best orchids and daisies only in our shop!" a woman is taking out a saw and starts splitting up everything she sees! That's grand! We could make money together writing advertising texts, Cindy!:))

Orchids might be my favorite! I have them all over my house as well. My partner Larry had a florist business for many years. He has a plant rental business now and does corporate events, weddings, etc... So I get lots of flowers! (that's kind of cheating since he's in the business)! ;-) Plus I love growing flowers too, so I am surrounded by lots of them!
My "poem" was meant to be funny actually...play on how men think women blame them for everything and then never let them forget it!

Normally orchids bloom like 2 or 3 months. Once I had a very nice exception. Last year, on the 8th of Oct. I had a welcome party for Michael. Some German friends came with an orchid in full bloom.
Only 8 months later it had lost its last flower, amazing.

Now my better half is not a man who often comes with flowers, it has happened twice in a year. But he is special as he does something no other man has done in my life. He surprises me with " Un Birthday Presents" Just recently he had a ring made for me, so I am the only woman worldwide with this design, super original.

He is not my husband but at this rate, he might get there. I live surrounded by flowers in the garden and in the house, I have many orchids so, to be honest, there is not much place for more. I prefer a plant to a bunch of flowers as they only last for a short time. Still, you are right, to be given flowers is always nice.
