Don't Let Steal Your Joy
One of the best advice I have come across. Ever.
I am not 100% good at it. But I am learning.
Are you?
How can you resist such people and deal with the consequences of their harmful influence, if it did take place? How can you keep your joy?
Dance away.
Do good things for others.
Go to the theatre.
Watch sunsets.
Do silly things.
Celebrate birthdays.
Own a dog.
Own a cat, or two.
Go to a football match.
Talk to each other.
Love each other.
Anticipate nice future things
Find pleasure at your work, or rather, make your passion your work.

Very good post Vera. I've known and and been afflicted by those who, as you say "steal your joy". And have gotten much better at dealing with them over the years. A term that i've heard many use is "psychic vampire". The psychic vampire seeks to do exactly as you fore mentioned. "Steal your joy" because they themselves are barren empty people who feel the need to feed on others lifeforce. And like hard core drug addict get that temporary "fix". Can you guess who the psychic vampire hates more than anybody? I think you know the answer. Anyway, I love you're list of solutions. Maybe the psychic vampire can use some of those to generate that joy in their own heart as well.
Thx, Brad
Exactly so, Brad. And the worst thing is, such people can be among our relatives and friends.

Fabulous advice.
I think we need to give that advice to our teenagers to save them lots of heartache.
Thank you for this great post.
