Brilliant!
Read this quote taken from the speech by Theodore Roosevelt often referred to as "The man in the arena"
Print it out and paste it on the wall.
Read it when you have doubts. Read it when something goes wrong.
Do we want to be critics or doers? Do we want to act and persevere or do we want to continue doubting?

Thanks Vera! Great stuff from a guy who always put himself out there and seldom held back from a fight. His successes, those of Harlan Sanders, Edison and others are a great reminder that to win the BIG one, you have to expect to lose a lot of other ones.
There are reasons why Silicon Valley VCs, Legendary Executives and TR all invested in those with the mixed history and ugly scars that prove they've been truly in the game.

I think getting addicted to the ranking mechanism is a way of following a historically "safer" track!
There is I feel here a comfort zone in criticizing the ranking process rather than being s "doer" in creating our sites and engaging! Vera :)
Yes, though criticizing isn't something that can easily be called a comfort zone... At least for everybody.:)
Vera - This is great stuff. I've seen it before many times (never gets old) and I think it encapsulates our efforts here.
Teddy R is the man. Bully! The perfect platform to advocate an agenda (mission).
