Hey Darren,

It sounds like a WA member may have left a link to their website in 23 comments made on your website. Is that what you are meaning?

If so... than you can simply go to your Comments, find that member's comments, click on "Quick Edit" (mouseover below the text portion of the comment to unhide the links) and then remove their website address from the URL field, the be sure to click on the "Update Comment" button. See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

I have checked, and I have never received any comments from him. I don't even have 23 comments total across my entire site yet. I had checked his sight out around a month ago and could not find any mention of my site on the pages that search console was showing as linked to my home page.

To the best of my knowledge, I have never commented on his site.

Not sure why it happened and he never responded to my message about it.

Sounds like your only remaining option is to have those 23 links disavowed.

See screen print below to see how you can access training on how to disavow links in Google Analytics.

Hope you find this helpful.

That helps a lot. Thanks for your help.

I noticed links from other WA sites on my console too. Some of them are sites I left comments on.
DId you check that?

Gwendolyn J

The best I can recall, I have never left a comment on his site at all. I can guarantee that I never left 23 comments because I have not made that many since my time here.

Just really hoping there are no negative side affects from it.

A friend of mine has just recently pointed out that there is a girl emoji showing up next to my name as the author of each post.

Hey Darren,

You have not shared your website URL in your Follow Me on section of your WA profile: therefore it is impossible for anyone of us to examine your website in order to offer you a suggestion.

Hope this helps you.

I have shared my link on the *Follow Me On* section already. However, I notice now that not everyone can see that if we are not following each other. Maybe these images will help everyone to help me out. Thank you btw.

The first pic is what I see on both desktop and android mobile. The second is what my friend is seeing on his iphone.

Hey Darren,

That was an EXCELLENT catch on your part regarding the need to be following in order to see that part of someone's profile. Thank YOU!

Now for your issue.

Have noticed your theme is not very browser compatible either. Check your site in Firefox and you will see what I mean.

Do you have a Gravatar set up properly on your website?

This emoji showing up like this might be being caused by your theme... or your social media plugin.

Another thing you could try is simply deactivating your Sociable plugin (do NOT delete it) and use the one Kyle suggests: and see if THAT might solve your issue.

Please, do let me know if this works for you.

Thank you so much for the help. I was able to fix the issue by setting up my Gravatar. I wasn't aware of that option before.

Forgot to mention. I'm not seeing any issues with my site being browser friendly so I'm not sure what you mean. My default browser is Chrome but I have downloaded Firefox to check it out and all looks correct from my end.

Is there anything specific that you notice? Maybe I'm missing something.

Hah! I went to get you a screen print and I do NOT see the same issue anymore.

Wonder if your fixing the Gravatar fixed the bit of a mess that I witnessed earlier. Looks okay in Firefox now!
