I recently canceled my membership because I cant pay for it anymore and it will close in 2 days. But will I lose all my hard work on my website ? Wont I be able to keep my websi

As others, I am sorry to see you go. Now to be practicle here. To save your website you have to do 2 things to start with:

1) You need to backup your database (MySQL)
2) You will need to download your entire website using a FTP client such as CuteFTP for example.

This makes sure you will have everything. As well as the appearence (the website) as the content ( your database)

Since all of our websites over here are based on WordPress the above advice applies.

Now, I believe there exist plugins to do just that what I am describing here. Since I have enough knowledge about these matters I never used them, but you may want to try this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/backupwordpress/
From the above link you can download it.
After that you log in into your wordpress backend (wp-admin), go to plugins install new one and upload this plugin from your drive. It should be remained in zip ( do not unzip after download)
once installed you must of course activate the plugin. After that, you can use it.Honestly, I have not tried this but I will do that also.

Suppose you succeeded with everything and you have everything on your computer, you will hae to go to another hosting company like Godaddy or HostMonster for example, create a new domain and hosting plan. Once there you can install a clean wordpress site and then use you backup to restore your previous website. I would work in this way:
On the new domain:
1) Install a fresh wordpress
2) Log in into this new one
3) Install this same plugin again on the new site
4) use the plugin to get your backup back ( database and files)

Note that if you may have troubles with accessing your database in your backup file on your computer you may find a file called wp-config.php. In this file, which you can access using an ordinary editor you will find the old values for accessing the Original database. however, this may be not neccessary using this backup plugin.

I have written much, I hope it helps, if not I hope at the least I may have pointed you to a direction.

All the best,

Jan

I am sorry that you need to leave. I hope that you will keep working on this as you have a great start. Best wishes.

Thanks. I will work on it as I always did :)

That's why I'm hosting mine with Godaddy. I can only stay premium for one month so that's why I didn't move my website over to WA. I recommend you try and move your hosting to Godaddy and then everything should be fine. I'm not sure how you do this however ;( You can probably find out on the internet :)

I'm not sure because you have a siterubix.com site, according to your profile. Hopefully, someone will have reliable information on this. If you have your own domain, you can always move it, as others have said. Good Luck!

Are you merely converting to a free membership? Then you get 2 free websites....you really should discuss this with customer support and Kyle......immediately.....

Will do that just to make sure. Thanks :)

If you have your own domain, you could move your website to another cheaper hosting company by downloading your website files with an ftp client. I'm not really sure how to do that cause i never did, but i know it is possible. Try and google about website migration to another host.

The website is yours. Regardless of whether you are in WA or not, you own the domain. So, you won't lose your website.

Just make sure you know how to login from outside of WA. For example, you can get to the login page by entering http://domain.com/wp-admin. Then login.

Be sure to write down your password from the Build My Website page.

thats for your help. Will try this out :)

So I installed WordPress SEO plugin and now Im wondering should i keep all in one seo pack ? Or should I delete it ? Because I dont know if I can have 2 SEO plugins

Hi Rolandas, all in one seo is now working as how it should now so I also started not to use it. Yes, great to use an alternative. Cheers, Jhen

Hi - it's best not to have two plugins trying to do the same job.

Go to Plugins - and deactivate one of them - and then just get familiar with each one, and see which you like best. You can then delete the one you don't prefer.

They both do the same thing though - I have all in one on most sites, but recently tried WordPress SEO (by Yoast), and like it far better. It's more intuitive and informative imo.

All the best, Mark

Ok going to do that :) I agree with you on WordPress SEO. I also like it much more than All in one SEO

I wanted to know If its ok to add banner on every page and post that promotes the product im trying to sell

Thanks for sharing this :)

The best thing to do is add your banners to your sidebar with a widget - this way they are displayed on every page and post. Don't go crazy a hand full is more than enough. 2 or 3

And then in your content you can also have relevant text links.

I did some training videos about adding links and widgets if you need them, here's the links:

When Im creating my page and click on pages or posts should I type in anything in SEO Title, SEO Description and SEO keywords ?

It's usually best to leave them blank. The SEO Title will just be pulled from the title of the article. Descriptions are used to show a snippet of your site in the search results. If you leave it blank, Google will dynamically generate a description based off the users search terms. Keywords are ignored and best left blank.

okey, thank you :)
