Move over your husband's site to WA. It is possible, and there are tutorials here on how to exactly do that. Don't worry about the speed, as ours is always better than other hosts out there.
And with regard to doing websites for non-members of WA? Yes, you can. We are provided with 25 premium sites here (can be hosted in a chosen domain), if you've already used one, then you still have 24 for your clients. You manage the sites for them, for a fee.
I want to add a booking calendar and cart but I don’t know where to search plug ins and do I just add them to the page I’m editing?
When you go to your dashboard > plugins > add new> type a keyword> search
Open a test website to test them Using malicious scripts can wreck your website, open a test site
In your WordPress dashboard hover over Plugins and click Add New. Enter the type of plugin you're looking for into the search box and a few suggestions will show up.
You can google the type of plugin you are looking for or go into the plugins area of WordPress and search there as well with keywords.

My niche is understanding and caring for older dogs.
I was thinking either Seniorhound or MyOldYeller.
Any thoughts? Much appreciated

I want to refer back to a member's comments or a particular blog and I don't know if there is a way to save and bring up saved blogs or comments in some orderly way other than
I always put a mark any important email with important massage that I wish to refer to in the near future. I dont delete them. This is how I remember them. I also share most imnportant staff socially and I can find it from there.
I don't know of any way to save single comments, but the blogs with the great comment somebody made and You want to view later.

You can create bookmarks either in Google Chrome or in WA. How to Create Bookmarks in Google Chrome
You can "star" them by hitting the little white star right under the title of a blogpost on the left hand side and it turns yellow. You must add a tag to that star and it's some kind of saved or at least marked for You.
Once You want to view Your starred blogposts, click the white star at the end of the search bar at the top of this page.
Should work like a charm.
Kay
KayWinkler thanks for this answer. I knew about the star and already "stared" some posts but I didn't know where I can see them after!
