Are we allowed to place our website in our WA blogs?
I was told by my Dad that we're not allowed to share our website links anywhere except on our profile page?
Is
No, we are not allowed to add the website as a signature or promote it whatsoever, you are allowed to add it on your profile, and when you have specific questions, please add it. When you are asking for help, please give the details to save time
I am averse to putting my website data in my posts. I treat it the same as separation of church and state. I have always treated it as no. You can find answers from other sources than your website!
If I see it, I politely ask them to remove the link and send them to read this post by Robert: Stop Leaving Signatures With Your Website Link in WA Occasionally when helping a member and I don't fully understand their issue, I ask them to post their URL so I can look at their site.
It happened today where a member was not able to share to FB with images and everyone was giving him well meant but not really useful answers, including me. Finally I asked him to post the link to his site.
In one minute I was able to see the problem, so I could actually help him. ~Jude
I see the same issue, Vance! I am new here and would like to know what is right and wrong. From the comments, I kind of get the idea that we should not put the links in our WA blogs. Thanks for bringing this issue help as it has helped me know what is right and what isn't.
Hi Vance,
I apologize my Son.
It isn't allowed as far as I've always been told but I am aware that it does happen very often and many times by Members who have been here even longer than I and even Ambassadors.
If it's ok for some then it should be ok for all, life isn't sometimes based upon the same level grounds.
We must do our best to ignore the things that seem unfair and just concentrate on building our own businesses with integrity and the best way that we know how.
I know that you just now went to bed and won't read this until tomorrow after School but I wanted to respond to you.
Good Night Vance and Sweet Dreams, I love you.
Dad
I answer a lot of questions here and sometimes what I've got published on my site is relevant to the question. So yes, I do give links to specific pages on my website but only in comments not in posts.
Not allowed in our posts but we can link to information on the internet in the comments section underneath posts. If a question requires a long answer that's already written then I link to the relevant information whether it's on my site or someone else's.
So far I've never lost writing access at WA and I've been here for three and a half years. Of course, if I was using spam to get people to my website then I would lose writing access.
No, it is not allowed on your posts. Lesson 6, Spam is a No No, has a list that you can read through. Wealthy Affiliate - The Open Education Project
Thank you Kerri,
Why do some members still do it?
Even Ambassadors who've been here a long time?
I think they just haven't been caught or reported. There was a member almost a year ago when I joined who was sending reminders constantly about this matter. I do see a lot of links that will take the reader outside WA.

Listen to your father! Except on your profile page, posting your website in WA blogs is considered spam. Not everyone knows this or follows the rules. They get away with it because others don't inform them or report them. Actually, I don't think most people mind so they let it go. But we should be consistent and follow the rules.

I have started and completed some of the WA main training as well as training from my Dad.
But, in your opinion whose, or what training is best for someone like me who
I would recommend looking at the emails on a daily basis as members often post information that will improve your site.
This is an Awesome question that You have asked Vance, there are many very knowledgeable Friends here at WA whose trainings that I would recommend.
Loes, Marion, Magistudios, Boomer and Leo are some that come to mind immediately and there are many more as well.
I'm proud of you for wanting more information Vance as knowledge is priceless!
Love Dad
For copywriting I have to give special thanks to "Fast Effective Copy". It's a little pricey but it's one of the best copywriting courses I've seen.
I suggest you go to Live Video Classes and watch some of the webinars that Jay has created they are very good and you can learn more stuff, good luck
What are you trying to learn in more detail? For SEO I used Yoast and Moz to learn that and to learn to write better I took a copywriting course from awai. What skill are you seeking to get a deeper understanding of?
Thank you,
The main things I would be mostly interested about ( get a deeper understanding of ) would be SEO, content, and keyword use.
I learned SEO through Yoast SEO for basic and then read MOZ and Neil Patel's blogs to learn more in depth current trending things about SEO and content. Neil is like a digital marketing content juggernaut!

In your opinion, what is the best advice that you give to new members here at WA?
Thank you
- Vance
Follow the training and don't be afraid to ask questions! The only stupid question is the one that you do not ask!
Don't get ahead of the training. I haven't always taken my own advice and the result is discouragement and frustration. Debbie
Hi Vance. Although I'm a relatively new member to WA, I'm not new to online marketing. WA by far provides the absolute best training available.. my only recommendation at this time is to follow each course as prescribed in order, don't deviate or skip around, be patient, do not take short cuts, and apply what you are learning on this amazing journey.
Timothy
Follow the training!!! If you follow what Kyle tells you, you can't go wrong.
Just trust in what they tell you follow success.
The second would be to get involved in the community. You have tons of successful people here that are ready, willing, and able to help you on your quest.
All the best,
RickD.
Be determined. You need to do a lot of learning, a lot of networking with others, a lot of research and creating. There will be moments when you wonder if it is worth it, because you don't see immediate results. But it is. Be determined and push through it - you will be glad you did!
