Walking in the Jasmine Woods

I was in a real pig of a mood, I couldn't find any decent photos of women working in an office and looking miserable, they all looked so happy, certainly not what I was looking for.

It was six thirty and my two dogs started their, it's time for our evening walk dance, which basically consists o them running around my chair, nudging me as much as possible and barking at each other, how could I be angry with them, but I was. I shouted at them to "lie down and wait a minute" to be met with such reproachful stares I should have shriveled into nothing.

It had been raining all day, yes it was warm outside but I was going to have to put my big boots on, My god was I feeling sorry for myself, anyways, boots were put on, leads were attached, poop bags and treats were picked up and stored in the bag and I went stomping out of the house, still feeling stupid.

As usual though, I got outside with the dogs and the mood started to lift, by the time I got to the local woods I was nearly back to normal. Walking into the woods was positively magical. The smell!!, warm, sweet wet earth, pine trees, nettles, elder trees which are in flower at the moment, and the most beautiful scent from very heavily flowering jasmine trees and bushes. I just stood there in the woods for a good ten minutes breathing in this heavenly scent, just aware of my dogs and the bird song. I am sure that many other things were happening but I couldn't tell you what.

Needless to say, I came home in one of the best moods ever, my poor husband couldn't believe the change in me. If only I could bottle that scent.

Stephanie, when you walk in the woods in God's nature will always change your feelings about life, your dogs gave you your inspiration for that day.

Thank you for your comment, Ricardo, yes, walking in Gods nature with my dogs, I could not be any luckier in life.:-))Steph

Getting out in nature makes things all better sometimes! I know when I need to get away, I go for a walk and let nature refresh me!

Thanks for stopping by Denise, and yes, going for a walk in nature helps so much at times:-))
Steph

Ahhh, that scent! Nature is quite magical.

Thank you for stopping by and reading Tezsie, which do you prefer by the way, Tessa or Tezsie? :-))
Steph

My pleasure and either is fine with me. Although Tezsie is increasingly becoming my stage name. After all we work with audiences *s

I thought you said you were an introvert, audiences's indeed. It is fun though, having an audience who can't see me:-))

Precisely! For me, (net)working and communicating on the world wide web is ideal. I really don´t care for ringing phones. In fact when the last landline phone gave up the ghost, I din´t replace it. And I´ve never owned a mobile phone. I won´t get one until it makes me more money than it costs.
Besides all that, did you know a large number of physical-stage actors, musicians, and film stars are introverted?

I must admit I didn't know that, but I suppose that is why they are so good at pretending to be someone else. Have a wonderful day, or evening, I don't travel so I know nothing about time zones.:-))
Steph

Acting is art, all art is make believe. People love it. Take Rembrandt van Rhijn´s Nightwatch. Those men were not lined up the way he painted them.
You have a good one too,

Very nice Steph. Thought my dogs were the only ones that did the "dance". Hope there are no typos.
Tim

Thanks for the comment Tim and no, my dogs do that dance as often as possible.:-))
Steph

Hi Steph, I am so happy that your dogs took you out for a walk so you can enjoy the smell of trees, wet grass, jasmine flowers...
Smells have a powerful effect on our brain to switch our moods..
Remember now, each time you feel down, go for a walk in the woods... forest has a magical touch..Spend time there and empower yourself with the beauty and wisdom and strenght!
Now you know why I spend so much time in Nature's crib..

Blessings to you Steph!

Thanks for reading and the comment Monica, my two dogs take me for a walk in the woods twice a day, I cannot get enough of being in the woods no matter what the season is. Our woods can ease a headache quicker than any tablet. If I lived near a forest I think I would have set up home there.I cannot blame you at all for spending time in your own forest.:-))
Steph

I am just getting ready for it .I will be there in few hours...thank you! Enjoy your magical trees!

Nice post. It sounds like you live a very pretty area.

Thank you for reading and commenting. Yes, Storm I do live in a very pretty area.:-))

Sounds great. There's a typo in the second paragraph.

Thanks for the comment Elide, neither I nor Grammarly can find the typo so I am sorry about that.:-))

No problem. I believe it's the second paragraph, second line where "o" is in place of "of" unless you meant "o" in which cases ignore me! The phrase written is, "basically consists o them running." Best

Thanks for the lesson Steph.

Thanks for pointing that out to me,you are right, why I didn't see it I don't know and obviously because I am using the free version of Grammarly, that won't save me from being embarrassed. Sorry Elide:-((

Sounds magical Steph, it is amazing what a break away from the screen will do.

And the scent of fresh cut grass... :)
