Smelly feet!

No, not bad smelly, good smelly, as in nicely scented. With essential oils, essential oils are wonderful, I have got to say that I love nature, I would always prefer to use something natural on my body rather than synthetic stuff, full of who knows what, I can't pronounce a lot of the words on these ingredients lists now.

If you come in from work feeling frazzled but you have got to go out with your partner or friends, rub in some Lavender essential oil, 3 drops mixed with 3 drops of geranium and 1 tsp of a carrier oil. The lavender oil will calm you down and relax you,the geranium oil will lighten your mood.

If you have some work to do when you have got home, mental work, add to this mixture a few drops of rosemary oil, it will very gently tap your cheek and make you a little more mentally alert.

Anyway, I just wanted to let any interested parties know that if you use the right mixture of essential oils on the soles of your feet you can alter your mood and make yourself feel a whole lot better.

These are just a few of the mixes you can make, but these are two I use so I know they work.

Enjoy your Friday everyone:-]]

I am doing mindfulness meditation and try to meditate while I walk. Sometimes, instead of focusing on my breathing, I focus on my feet, inside my shoes and my feet just taking one step at a time. I find that helps me to find inner peace as I walk.

But I will try essential oils on my feet. My husband bought a couple bars of 'lavender' soap yesterday. He likes the smell and told me that he doesn't mind if he smells of lavender. Perhaps, it will help keep us both calm and smelling nice. :)

Why not Myra, if you are both calm, you're both happy. Walking meditation is something I love but what I focus on is my thigh muscles, really good if you go for a long walk, I will try focus to on my feet tomorrow, never thought of doing that, tell your husband to buy you some vetivert essential oil, this added to Lavender oil smells quite manly,:-))

Hello
I love essential oils too. I been using it over 20 years. I had been studied professional courses for essential. I have a little suggestion, within 9 or 10 ml of basic oil like jojoba, wheats germ, avocado, almonds, olive oil you can only put 5 drops of oil. Because for some people may cost allergic reaction. For 50 ml can put from 15 to 25 drops of oil. I remember I mixed lost weight oil. I put 50 drops in 50 ml, 5 days later, I suffered sunburn pain and my skin peeling off. Hahaha. I learned my lesson. Lol

Hi there Stephanie, thanks for commenting on my post, sorry to hear about your problems with the essential oils. As you will know if you have studied essential oils, lavender oil can be put neat on on skin but some oils have to be diluted a lot.:-))Steph

I love essential oils too. I wish I used them more often. I love rosemary in my diffuser as it sends a great aroma through the home. But I do have lavender and geranium in my night time skin care... it's lovely to fall asleep to. Thanks for the remind. All the best, Marilyn

Hi Marilyn, thanks for the comment, yes, I love lavender and geranium, how do you use it, do you make your own creams or face oils?:-)) Steph

My nephew's children get lavender and coconut oil rubbed into their feet every night. Coconut oil, i am told, because they were sick all the time and lavendar oild to help them have an even better night's sleep. I haven't tried it but seems to work for them. They don't get sick nearly as often and they are more alert in school after such a restful sleep.

Thanks for this Lisa, I didn't know that about coconut oil, very interesting and I think I will do this with the lavender tonight.
Steph

You're very welcome, Steph.

This is very interesting information, Stephanie, thank you for sharing it!

I love lavender oil.. I use it for my dogs too to repel flees and ticks..

Does it work stopping the fleas Monica, I know it can calm a nervous dog, didn't know about the fleas and ticks though. Thank you
Steph

You are so welcome Therese, I am so pleased that it is useful to you and that you find the time to read my posts.
Steph

Yes Steph, I take my dogs weekly to the cabin surrounded by Pines and bushes, they never got any flees..I mix up lavender with fresh lemon juice and almond oil, and rub lightly on their fur, and sprinkle on their bandana as well.Very safe and effective. .Cheap too, if I need to but any of those Safeguards chews it will cost me around 300 a year for my big dogs...

Thank you so much for this Monica, I will use it on Toby and Oscar tomorrow, certainly smell better than what they like to roll in if they get the chance.
I am so glad I posted this tonight, I have learnt quite a few tips.
Thanks Steph

As I said, we can help each other out! Toby and Oscar will love it..if not your family will enjoy it.

Got to check you out more, I'd learn some great stuff......☺

Thank you Therese, I am learning so much from this wonderful community as well. It's really good.
Steph
