Successful Outcome from a Decision Made in Haste Day 23 of 23
Today is officially the last day of my 23 day’s Goal. My sincere thanks to members who kindly supported me throughout those days. If it hadn’t been for the support I received, the goal might not have been achieved.
It’s Never Too Late to Learn
I would not have believed I could learn so much in the space of just a little more than 3 weeks.
One thing I learned is to be more flexible with my thinking, and be aware that often there are options available.
Nearing the end of a difficult week with one of my websites, I decided it was time for a change, rather than persevering with something that clearly was not going to work. Circumstances have not been in my favour regarding a new theme for my affiliate marketing website.
I have worked hour after hour, morning, noon and night attempting to make sense of the theme I purchased, which is GeneratePress.
This is a great theme, but not so for my existing website. It was far too hard to customize the content on approximately one hundred posts and pages, combined.
So, today I purchased another theme. This theme doesn’t have so many ‘bells and whistles’. Also, on checking the search bar in WA I found a member’s video training about the theme I’ve just purchased. It is his video that helped with my decision.
In my post yesterday, I talked about changing habits, so that was something else I learned.
There is so much benefit I gained from this goal. The main one being it got me back into action.
I’m looking positively toward staying active in this community.

Flexibility and being able to change habits are both biggies, and ones I think we all need to work on. Congrats on completing your challenge. May you go on to even greater things.
That is great news, Valerie, I am so sorry that you had to experience something like but like you said it is all a learning experience.
I am happy that you found a theme that works for you now. That is what counts not so much the bells and whistles.
There are nice to have but sometimes you need to have a functional theme more so then the bells and whistles.
You made the right decision in changing themes it is better because now you can do whatever you need to do now.

I am too in the middle of reworking my site so I know what you are going through. I am also working on an article and just got another idea for another article so doing that and working on my Facebook page and Pinterest I have been busy among other things too

Sorry to hear it was such a hassle changing the theme. I hope that with the second one you got things go more smoothly.
We will be going home today, a lovely but too short trip. Yesterday it was extremely windy so nearly blew off the beach but the waves were spectacular.

I haven't had time yet to change the themes. I will do that tomorrow morning. I'll be holding my breath in my sleep! It just has to work this time.
It's been windy north and south of the globe. An area in the South Island of NZ had a terrible storm two days ago. A bridge, which is the main route in the area, collapsed into the sea.
I'm pleased your trip was lovely, even though short.
