How to Find Inspiration That Will Absolutely Help You

Greetings dear Friends

For some unknown reason I thought today a good time to share with you a book that was recommended to me about 10 years ago. I remember purchasing this book from Amazon, together with some others and the delivery took an age to reach me. I was convinced the package had gone astray, but had I known then what I knew after reading this particular book I would not have doubted the package would arrive.

The affect of the teachings of another person has much to do with where we are in our lives at that particular time. At the time I purchased this book I had experienced seven unstable years following the passing of my husband. In fairness to my late husband I must state the instability was definitely not due to him.

So, moving on. The book I am referring to is The Writings of Florence Scovel Shinn.

Florence was born in 1871 and died in 1940. She was amazing women who helped hundreds of people and no doubt changed their lives. I know that Florence changed my life.

In her book, Florence tells so many stories of people whom she helped improve their life.

To this day people are still looking for something to hang on to, or inspire them to find their right direction. It occurred to me that when searching the web for inspirational quotes, I have not seen any by Florence Scovel Shinn. For what reason, I cannot imagine.

Following reading The Writings of Florence Scovel Shinn I read other inspirational books written by well know entrepreneurs, including Napoleon Hill through to those of more modern times. However, for some years I still referred to Florence’s book. It was highly decorated with Sticky Notes for quick reference!

The book is still unpacked from my move last year, but I have a Kindle version on my laptop for easy reference.

If you are looking for something a little different in the way of inspiration, you may like to read the book I have referred to. I see it is still available on Amazon in different formats, including Kindle.
