Hidden Treasure or Treasure Trove
Do you ever ask 'Will I or Won't I'. Alternatively, 'To do or Not to do'?
Questions such as those are nothing new to me, nor the decision to renew or not renew my WA membership, as mentioned in a previous post! As Black Friday draws near, I ask myself how I would start each day without being greeted by all those new emails from Wealthy Affiliate community that flood into my inbox overnight.
On opening the inbox this morning, the first email that drew my attention was a question from a Laura, aka LCEndahl, about the Generate Press theme. GP has been predominant since changing two websites to this theme, earlier this year.
Generate Press has some excellent features. However, for a non-techie such as I am, a level of patience has been called for at times.
Not only patience, but resources also are necessary. Youtube videos can be helpful. I prefer the short version, rather than the hour-long video that requires attention through to completion. In saying that, I certainly do not take any credit away from those who produce such amazing videos. I envy their skills.
With only my mobile available at that early morning hour and not my favourite resource for communicating in WA, I refrained from answering Laura's question. However, GP always prominent, I started reading responses and came across a link to a post written by Alex Evans. This post is about Generate Press. It is an incredibly informative post which received many comments when first published.
While scanning through the comments I questioned a little, or slightly more, as to why I had not been aware of this post when Alex published it! Suddenly, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. There was Yours Truly fully involved within the comments. Unbelievable!!
What that reaffirmed is the unquestionable value of my Wealthy Affiliate membership. Within the vast number of creations published 24/7/365, are treasures. Many become hidden treasures. Some revealed over time; others may stay hidden.
Organization Required is My Guess!
I now pose the problem of how to remind myself of actions needed to keep on top of not only tasks to complete, but revision.
It's not that I haven't been attentive. I have an abundance of files, many containing valuable content.
To-Do-Today lists, both home-made and professionally printed pads are a thing of the past for me, just because they didn't work. A better phrase would be 'I didn't work'!
Lists entered daily in my diary are not helpful when not acted on.
In fact, I do have a valuable resource which is an Excel spreadsheet. In this spreadsheet are links intended for review and research. It’s now massive and seldom do I refer to it. It could resemble a Treasure Trove, but rather than silver and gold coins etc it contains links to be discovered sometime in the future by – who knows?!
Because I don't wish to hide anything from myself, but rather make these treasures predominant with the intention of 'Results', maybe sticky notes will suffice — alternatively, a list pinned to the wall so viewable I cannot miss it while diligently working at my computer.
I do know what the answer is regarding my Wealthy Affiliate membership. I need to think positively and believe that 2020 will be a better year for me in respect to that vitally important thing we all need, wellbeing!
I look forward to much more activity within Wealthy Affiliate and with my websites.
Wealthy Affiliate is a ‘Must Have’ in my life.

I must organise being organised. I fear we are many. I wish I had your ability to work with Excel, it does sound like a very useful tool. For now, everything seems to be on my desktop, virtual and real.

Your post just confirmed, I am not alone, I have big plans to organise my day, each day, my lists, my e lists, ...you listed them all... and yet like you they sometimes just become a mountain I can’t climb, in fact it’s growing faster than I can walk.
So like Joes post mentioned, finding the time, it’s about choosing your battles..

It certainly is a hurdle. I started about 8.30 this morning with plans for 'great things'. It's now 11.30 and I'm still plodding along.

I enjoyed your teasing. I don't know what happens with my brain but I do know it never rests. Almost every night I wake a few times to find my thoughts are on the tasks I need to do. Perhaps achieving one by one is the solution.

I would not be happy to wake up more than once during the night.
My bedroom is dark and silent. I take a Melatonin 10mg half an hour before going to sleep I unplug everything like Wifi etc so to have a radiation-free night. Needless to say, there are no machines in the bedroom be it day or night. I sleep like a rose.
I write one WA post a month and I think that is enough as I write for my websites.

I feel the same. For a while there thought about letting WA go due to my health challenges recently but I could not due to the intensive trainings. Not only that but there are other blog trainings that I too can learn from. The price remains low like Kyle states, he never raised the prices. While other competitors do raise their prices and people will leave. Its not like that here. The community here is another reason. Yes, I know you struggled with the website technology. Hope you have gone over that hurdle and move to the next chapter of learning new technology. It will require some patience. I too admire some of the skills of the members its amazing with what they come up with. How they do that? I appreciate that they teach us how its done and for a low price per year still by far the best platform I’ve ever encountered.
Because of your affirmations, I too will keep this same affirmation to stay. January will be one year for me. The whole year for me was spent on the training and for the price I paid, much more worth it than any other training platform. It fits my need because I do not need to hear on here. My eyes read. The trainings I can benefit from. Perfect for a Deaf person like myself to use this platform. All other platforms their videos are not closed captioned and no bloggers, and all training in podcasts. I most certainly cant benefit from that.
Looking forward to 2020 and hoping that Kyle and Carson continue to keep this platform getting better and better as we all evolve with technology and with SEOs.

It's great to read your response to my post, Brenda. And, greater still to know you are keeping the same affirmation as mine. I'm sure we will each have a better year in 2020. I'm certainly looking forward to it. I've been doing affiliate marketing since 2010 and what I found is that nothing stands still in terms of search engine algorithms and WordPress. The changes have been phenomenal and in view of this, I believe that having the support available at WA is an important factor of the success ladder, at least until one gains a level of professionalism such as the Big companies.

Jeff, I agree. I missed y’all. Now that In back. I am looking forward to the fabric of designing my website and learn now how to do videos and other technical things that I have never heard or learned about before. Especially SEO and how SERPs work. WA remains awesome on those trainings.
