Enjoying the First Day of a New Spring Season

Hi Folks,

Wherever you are in the world, I hope you’re having a wonderful day.

Way down south of the globe the season of Spring has arrived. And, it remembered to bring the sunshine with it. It’s a known fact that Spring is often a time to experience four seasons in one day, but I’m sure this one will be different.

Things I love most about the season of Spring are blossoms on trees, the beautiful flowers such as Daffodils, Tulips, Jonquils and many other varieties. The lambs that can be seen playing in public parks, and of course in farmlands when one travels through the beautiful countryside of New Zealand.

The best thing for me about this particular Spring is that I’m back with Wealthy Affiliate.

Well, I never actually left WA, but it felt like it. Winter has been drastic for me. Weeks and months of being ill and ending up in hospital. I’m pleased to say I’m home again now. I even lost interest in WA. For that to happen there is something far from right in my life.

Anyway, my interest has returned and I’m hoping, or should I say planning, on experiencing good health and the energy and inspiration to continue participating in WA and getting back to helping members again.

Wealthy Affiliate has been the best thing ever to happen for me at my time of life. In fact it has been a life-saver in many ways. For instance, my days are never long enough. I never have experienced a day of boredom in my entire life, and I know that I never will while I’m a member of WA.

And, if you are wondering about the benefit of affiliate marketing as a regular income source, you can see from the image below that one of my websites has continued to earn in spite of complete lack of attention on my part. These are commissions earned from 1st to 30th August. $66.05. Although not a fortune, this site earns a similar amount every month year in and year out. And, there is one more day to go this month, so who knows what that may add to the total!

This is a small 8 year old website that continues to earn Amazon affiliate commissions. This month has been one of the best in terms of Amazon income. I promote very few Amazon products on this site, but it never fails to please me with commissions.

I sometimes wonder how much greater it could be if I were to increase the number of product promotions. Something to add to my To-Do List!

In addition to commission on fees I receive commission on Amazon CPM Ads. Amazon is retiring these CPM Ads at the end of this month. Although, CPM Ads commissions are very small they’ve amounted to almost $80 over the past year, for which I will receive a cheque. And, of course, I love Amazon cheques because their value is so much greater when I deposit them into my Bank account. I know this happens with electronic deposits, but it’s what the eye sees, so it believes! Or, should I say, ‘the heart enjoys’.

So, that is just one example of earning what I believe is called passive income. Choose the right niche, being one you enjoy; build your website around that niche; attract the right traffic to your site, and enjoy the long term benefits. Then rinse and repeat with another niche, and another if you so wish.

There is no end to what you can gain with affiliate marketing. All you need is the right mindset that leads to achievement, and with training provided in Wealthy Affiliate, together with participation in the community, you have everything you need to become a successful affiliate marketer.

Wishing you great success.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Good afternoon Valerie,

Good to see you back on the battlefield ( in the nice sense of the word if that exists). Sorry to hear your winter was not all that happy but springtime kind of recharges batteries so there you go.
The photo you used for your post reminds me of the world-famous Keukenhof, I bet it was taken there.
Good to hear you have such a well functioning website which gives you these nice checks, well done.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Good morning Taetske,

Thank you for your message. The seasons are something far from our control, with each one continuing to change throughout the decades. An interesting subject too technical to study, but rather just accept and attempt to adapt to.

I obtained the photo from WA resources. I was actually looking for a field of daffodils, but nothing available at that time.

That website could do much better with some additional love and care!

Greetings from New Zealand. ~ Valerie

Wherever you are in the world, I hope you’re having a wonderful day. A beautiful thought, Mighty Fine Accomplishments...!
Your emphasis re right mindset, very key! Thanks..., stay "Motivated!" Enjoy..., Happy Labor Day Weekend.

Thank you Charlie for your kind message.
Greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful weekend.

As you look forward to summer here in the northern hemisphere we are into autumn and heading for winter.

In the UK we are still having pleasant and warm days although nothing like our hot and arid summer.

I wish you well as you follow your journey with WA.

Derek

Thank you Derek for your kind words.

Wishing you an enjoyable autumn season, and may the coming UK winter be as mild as possible.

Valerie

Hi Valerie, sorry to hear that you have been having health issues over winter, you will be pleased that you are on top of things and looking forward to spring, kind of like a new beginning for you best wishes as you reconnect.

Thanks very much Alex. I appreciate your message. Due to WA being such an amazing community to participate in daily, I truly felt a loss by not having energy to contribute. However, there's much to work towards, and pick up from where I left off. I'm looking forward to it. Many thanks. See you again soon.

Thanks for sharing Valerie. Glad you are back on board now. Happy to hear from you again.

Thanks so much Glenys for your kind words. It's great to see you again. I hope all is going well for you :)

I hope you feel better.

Thank you very much, Roger :)

You're welcome, Valerie.

My wife and I are in Brisbane while she goes through the hyperbaric chamber for 30 treatments and will not be home in Tenterfield until October.
Half of the west of the range is blowing over us here as a cloud so it is a dull day here. The drought is bad everywhere now.
It was like this nine years ago.
If the dust gets to New Zeland it will be twice the size it is soon.
Tom.

Sorry Tom to learn of your wife's need for treatments.

Regarding the dust - I feel for you and the population of Australia. But, no way must the dust drift to New Zealand. That is definitely the last thing I need. Dust is one of my major enemies!

We are losing a lot of cattle and sheep to the drought. We will need sheep from NZ.

So sorry to hear that Tom. I hate to see images on TV of cattle dying due to weather conditions. It can be a very cruel world at times.

Very many NZ farmers have suffered outrageous loss of cows due to some virus (I can't think of the name at present). No doubt you've heard of the pain and suffering of many of our farmers because their cattle have been destroyed. In one farm in particular, the owner was beside themselves because of unborn calves being destroyed. Oh, for some happiness!!

Hey Valerie,
Sorry to hear that you have been sick but I'm glad you are better now. Waiting for my websitesto become passive income earners!!

Tried and True

Elaine

Hi Elaine,

Lovely to receive your comment. Thanks so much.
Your website will perform passively, I'm sure of that. Just takes time to happen.

I look forward to hearing of your site's progress.

Valerie

Very inspiring! Thank you. We are just heading into Fall here in upstate New York, USA.

Thanks so much for your comment, Virginia.

Fall is also a beautiful season in respect to landscape etc. The only problem is the season that follows. However, there are many who enjoy winter sports and I love watching on TV the skiing activities on mountain slopes, and the like. New Zealand has it's fair share of snow throughout the winter.

Wishing you great times ahead.

Valerie

I like warm crackling fires and hot coco, so I don't mind winter, for the first month or two...then I'm longing for Spring two!

I go along with you there, Virginia. I too love crackling fires and hot coco. I don't have the fires these days, but still enjoy the yummy hot drinks :)

I love the smell of burning wood and the sound of the fire. Plus, I love white Christmases.

White Christmasas must be beautiful. I nearly experienced one when visiting my daughter and her husband when they were living in England. They were in Wolverhampton. It didn't quite make the White Christmas. The snow arrived about 2 days after Christmas.

I get one every year because I live on the shore of one of the great lakes. Lake Ontario. I live in Oswego, New York, USA.

That's wonderful Virginia. I can picture the younger generation decked out in their colourful winter attire, skating on the lake. Does that happen?

Not on Lake Ontario because it never freezes, but on smaller lakes, yes. I grew up skating on Keuka lake in Penn Yan, NY, USA.

Thanks for this inspiring post.

I also believe WA will help me make money at one tine or another, just have to be patient and keep building.

Wish you the best Valerie and welcome back.

Calvin

Hi Calvin,

Thanks so much for your comment. It's great to receive it.

Keep that belief going constantly Calvin, and your website will earn for you.

With very best wishes.

Valerie
