Does This Makes Sense to You?
Hi folks,
I have received a few emails from someone named Anton and I'm not sure what to make of them!
These emails have been sent from Anton: using my website address (see image below)
The Subject is: the domain of my website (see image below)
Anton's message is about Body Posture. A link to a website is included in the message I received. (Appears in the image below)
His sign-off is: Anton
Using my website address: Plus the title of my website Landing Page, slightly changed! (Appears in the image below)
Included below is a screenshot of Anton's message which, among other things, reveals my email address is hosted at WA.
The message is signed off by Anton at my website address. Whoever Anton is he definitely is not involved with my websites.
Obviously, the emails are sent through the Contact plugin on my website! I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the set-up of the Contact plugin or is the action by Anton a scam?
At the very least, I expect Anton to sign off from his website, not my website!
I would be most grateful if you can throw some light on whether or not these emails from Anton are anything other than a scam or maybe spam!

this means they can harvest your email address from your site.....
i would just delete....
one problem with marking as spam is that they are alerted to that fact and it indicates a live email address, so you go on a list for others to do the same....
i found just deleting makes it a lot quieter.....

I should have recognized the email for what it is!
I will delete all the emails I've received from this person. I think there are just three, so that won't be a problem. They will be gone forever with no further action on my part.

Do not as suggested click on the link.
People can be very clever when it comes to asimilation, especially in this case when the domain is similar.
Flush it down the trash can!!
Then go to your contact form settings and add his name and domain to the spam (late night, term has slipped my brain, lol), there's an area to add prohibitive names and urls.
That way you see anything more from them!

I will delete the plugin as I have no use for it. I can be contacted through 'Comments' if need be.
After all my years online, I can't believe I didn't recognize the email for what it is!!

People are sneaky...if you dont know the person, or if the email seems suspicious, even when the email is a reply through your contact form, delete it.
You can open the email to verify, just dont click on any links.
It happens to the best of us, Valerie, dont be too hard on yourself!

No matter what you do. Never ever click on any of such link within the email. If the plug-in is not that useful to you it is better to uninstall it from your website.
You can also look for a better alternative for such pluming.
