Attention to the Rules of Wealthy Affiliate Required Please!
In this post I am referring to the process of welcoming new members to WA.
Although I do not read in detail, the profile of all new members simply due to time factor, I read sufficient to know that my welcome message is justified.
What Appeared Today within New Premium Members
Today, I was astounded to see welcome messages left by prominent WA members to someone who joined as a Starter member in 2014 and has now joined as Premium member. There is nothing unusual or unacceptable with the time frame.
However, what is unacceptable is this new Premium member extends an invitation to 'checkout her adult site for your entertainment needs'.
Also, before reading any of her written content, her profile image tells immediately what she's about.
This conduct is abhorrent, and goes against Rule No.12 of WA Rules set by Kyle and Carson.

We all like to welcome members to our network, but please be sure you are not breaking the rules prior to extending your welcome.

I totally agree, nothing to do with rules of the WA, it is pure unethicall behaviour, and should not happen.

If, like you, more attention was paid to the bio before clicking 'follow' then these less favourables would struggle to find traction. Like you said, most times there is enough there to make an informed appraisal before 'following'

There no sense in responding to content of any kind when it hasn't been read, or at least scanned over. We don't need to read in detail before identifying such outrageous behavior.

Ew disgusting! I know there been a lot of scammers or spammers it was mentioned in live chat. Usually happens with starter and first three months as Premium that why have rules that you mentioned above and also one blog per 24 hours for newbies for the first three months in order to prevent these issues seem thats not effective either? I didnt know that apparently the platform has gotten so big and now is unmanageable? Hope attention goes to the founders about it. Also said no religion or faith post but some do how they get away with that?
It certainly is disgusting to find that sort of content anywhere. Some people do not have any pride at all.
Yes, I too see a lot of comments, and some posts, about religion. It has been so ever since I joined WA.

Brenda, I believe the onus is on us to report those instances that we see and recognize as going against the rules.
Best possible scenario is to report them to Kyle and Carson.
And for immediate action, click on the down arrow on the top right of the comment to Report Spam.
Thank you for this information. I hadn't the foggiest about this. I think it should be the first MUST READ on the menu before anything else when signing up. When I put a link to a video demonstration of the meditations I wrote when I joined a couple of weeks ago, I had absolutely no intention of selling or advertising anything other than to demonstrate the meditation I wrote about. I couldn't add a video on the blog as one would on Wordpress so I put one as a link - so apologies for that!
Kimberleigh, as new members it does take time to learn various matters, and what you did was understandable, and not outrageous.
What really got at me in this instance, experienced members had left their welcome messages. I just couldn't believe it, and no longer do I have trust in those members, as I did prior to this happening.

That is too bad people either didn’t take the time to look at the new premium member’s info. Out that they did not care enough to address the issue.
I have not seen it myself, so hopefully it has been handled.

Oh my goodness!!! I just went and looked for myself. Seriously why is that still on here. The woman looks to be nude and giving out her phone number for adult entertainment. How is that allowed?
