Another Amazon Story - 5 Months Goal Achieved
I can honestly say it is not often I achieve my goals within an exact time frame.
Five months ago, on 15th of June I published a post advising of my second payment from Amazon.
In the post I said “I was aiming for the next cheque to be within a maximum of 5 months”.
I don’t think I can take credit of actually achieving a goal because there is little control over whether a sale is made from my affiliate links.
However, it happened. Yesterday I went to my letter box and there was a bright and shiny envelope containing a cheque from Amazon. Of course I was expecting it but one never knows whether the ‘Postie’ will deliver the mail to the correct letter box. I know that for a fact, having recently received mail for someone else who lives at the same street number as I do, but a totally different street!
When that happened I thought – wow I hope the Postie doesn’t do that with my mail due to arrive from Amazon.
In some ways the mail delivery has little to do with this post other than:
It would be wonderful if Amazon used Pay Pal, or similar to pay people living outside the USA.
So, whether my five month goal was achieved because of positive thinking, magic, or some other source I do not know. However, it was achieved.
I won’t continue to post about payment received from Amazon, unless my present goal is achieved. I set a goal for achieving $100 minimum commission within 3 months, being the end of November. I need just slightly more than $20 in commissions to achieve that goal.
If I achieve it, I will let you know and that will be last post on this subject.
My only reason for these posts is that many WA Amazon associates have commented they find it helpful to know that results are achievable. I am still receiving comments from my last post, 5 months ago.

Yes Gomer. That's exactly correct.
I do have one other site with Amazon links but it isn't getting any traffic at present. It is a Christmas site I started in 2014, then left it until a few weeks ago. So there is definitely no commissions from that.

Good achievement. We sometimes do not control the time when there are people buying stuff from Amazon not like on the offline business that through the population around you can calculate around 20 people will come in a day. On the online unless your site regularly receives an amount in commissions at least you can say after three months, after six months you will have this amount.
