Hi everyone! I have a short question, what is the difference between a post and a page?
In my knowledge... through a POST your site's visitors can leave comments and other info while in a PAGE they can't.
not really recent - a few years ago wordpress allowed comments to be added to pages.
their really recent change is going over to the block editor - an interesting concept - one to get used to as it wil be the going forward editor with loads of features .
you will be able to create really fancy pages ( and templates)
check it out by going to your site and then settings - writing - allow users to switch editors - save settings
create a new post and see what can be done....
post added to the blog roll
page not added
post can have categories and tags page cannot
i tend to use posts for engaging content - something for visitors to respond to and pages as static content - something i don't need responses to
i use posts to point to pages ( as the money pages)
but nowadays you can use either and change the type with post type switcher plugin ( once you are premium)
good luck
phil
The only difference is a post goes to blog roll. The front page of your website. A page is a post that goes in your menue and is not seen unless someone clicks on the menue and reads the page. Hope this clears thing up for you . Have a blessed day
