Hi Trish, it's a great review on inserting widgets, but I need to go a step further, because my theme only allows widgets in the sidebar. Mine has to go into a post. I do see videos that explain how to do that, but it seems too advanced for me right now.
Thanks, Trish, for your reply!

Ursi I wished that I could help you. Sorry. I'll monitor this for the answer because I know one day I'll need the answer too.

Hi Gary,
I'm very new to wordpress and WA obviously :) , and I'll be happy to share if I find the solution!
Have a good day!

I would appreciate that Ursi. I'm very interested in learning more every day.

If not tested it may cause problems. But in any case, go to Text mode and paste it where you want it to appear.

I've tried that with the widget I want to insert, but it got "swallowed":) - I'm not sure I got the correct code, it looks like this: <?php echo do_shortcode( '[calorie_calculator]' ); ?>

Cannot conclude anything from this, sorry.

OK, thanks anyway! :)

enabled and

Go to Pages > All Pages and use Quick Edit for each individual page you want to enable comments on.

Thanks Marion!

Or bulk edit. :)

Comments on pages should be off by default but you can enable comments on individual pages.

Just edit the page you need to have comments on. Then to the top right, look for "screen options". Click on it to reveal the options with checkboxes.

Next look for the "Discussion" checkbox and enable it.

Scroll down below the edit window and look for the discussion box. It in you will see the option to "allow comments". Check it and "Update" the page to save your options. You should now have a comments box on the page.

Hi Jay,
This worked perfectly, thanks so much!

Theresa, I tried that and it did not work. I am having the same problem.
