Newbie Searching for Newbie Buddy
I'll admit that I've been a little overwhelmed by all the WA learning resources. I have about 4 training courses going at once. There's so many things to learn about that I find it hard to maintain focus.
One of the needs I feel is to have someone who is new to WA also and would benefit from having someone to brainstorm with and share problems and progress with; to have someone to encourage and to be encouraged by. I think knowing someone else who's moving toward success will ensure my own success.
I don't really know the best way to go about finding such a buddy. I could just make a general help request, I guess. I've been reading some of the articles written on the subject, but i'm still trying to find the best approach. This is one of the reasons I decided to write my first blog on this subject.
My hope is that there are many other newbies that are having the same desire to find a colleague/friend to be a long-term buddy.

Upon further thinking about what I'm looking for, I realized that one of the most valuable benefits in my mind of the buddy system is accountability and back and forth conversational support for each person involved. Maybe that will come with time. Meanwhile, I'll keep training, discussing, inquiring, etc. from a great group.

You'll find lots of people within WA who are newbies just like yourself and who'd be more than willing to want to network with you. I think you're on the right track - keep working through the training, opening up discussions when you need help and also remember the 24/7 live chat is always there too!
I'm always here to help and personally would be more than willing to be part of your buddy system. I may not be new, but I'm always learning and in need of support and accountability as well! :)

Yes there is much to know, but start from the beginning.
If you face a mountain, the small, sure, slow, definite foot steps will eventually get you to the top.
Relax and enjoy each step as you go. Do it 10 times if you need to, there is no race.

James, I just sent you a message about music and the Blues and some other really fun stuff. I'm not a total newbie, but I would be thankful for the opportunity to work with you. (I would be really interested for you response to my VEGAS CHALLENGE I sent you a few minutes ago. LOL) There are lots of people on here. This is an amazing wonderful community. I've never seen anything like this, but hey, I'm here. I'm looking for someone to be accountable to, also. I like your profile where you said you'd been a business consultant primarily in the area database management. Same here. Lots and lots in common.
