I'm only a few weeks into creating my site, and was settling writing posts today - but I see an article in a major newspaper that is a perfect idea for a post. In respect to keywor

Hey I think you could break it down and re write it or copy and paste and give the author recognision in your post, if it's on paper you can scan it to your computer.

I agree with the comment below. First understand the article, and then share an opinion in your own words. Good Luck!

Read the article thoroughly and try make sure you understand what you have read and share your opinion on it. Remember not to copy it verbatim. A summary of everything written in it in your own word will be the best

Thanks Fidel - That's what I have written up - an opinion about the article itself. I'm just not sure of whether I should use the original article title in my title, or if there's anything else I should consider as far the keywords/links...I want to stay on the bright side of Google :-)

I would advice you don't use the exact title...rather craft something intriguing out of the article and use it as your title bearing in mind the use of low hanging keywords as well

Can you describe what you mean by "low hanging keywords"? For example, this article is definitely about Women in Tech... (those words are also in the article title)

Low hanging keyword are phrase or words that have QSR of less than 100 on jaaxy and on wealth affiliate keyword tools with searches of less than a 100 as well

I've got the bones of my website up, and have finished Phase 1 of the training, but I'm not clear on what I'm specifically working on during the recommended 10-day break. I know I

Hey so far I use my keywords on the title and when you write a keyword may slip in to your content, Don't let it control your writing.

I would write some posts related to your 'themed content'. Write a post, then link it back to your the page it matches up to.

Or you can write some more reviews and link them to your wealthy affiliate review as your #1 choice.

During your break I recommend you work on building content for your site. Recommend you use the keywords at least twice but do not over do it. Take of advantage of using Jaaxy and google keyword tools. Remember, we are trying to get our pages and post on the 1st or second page of Google. Without using the right keyword, would be like trying to find a store without a GPS in France.

thanks for your reply - so do you use the same couple of keywords on, say, one post or page? Or do you use more than one per content piece?

yes, I use them twice.

I have started by using a "pen name" on my site (for privacy reasons, and also because I don't want any cross-over in to my day job). Does anyone else do this? In your opinion is i

Oh yah not a big deal just don't use famous names.

I often use one I write about prostate cancer and I don't want to do that as a woman .
However, as Nat says to be under the radar is impossible these days, but your general creaders won't necessarily know who you are unless they look up the domain name and see who owns it

I think it's fine to use a pen name. You'll have to create new social media profiles, which is a pain in the butt as you try not to "cross wires" but once you get going it won't be a big deal. If you're concerned about issues with yoru current job, I'd use a pen name.

If it's just a privacy thing, it's hard to be anonymous on the internet these days, lol. But good luck either way!

Hi. Most people use at least their real first name, but I have seen a few pen names. I understand what you're saying, but I believe people are trying hard to create a trust with their visitors and with trust, it means being a little open about yourself. If a pen name works better for you, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Michelle - I initially felt ok about using it,and Kyle let me know that he has seen others do it, but as I got to lesson 9 in the first course, it mentioned linking to my profile in WA, which would very clearly show that I wasn't using the same first name. I've also replied to a few comments already on my blog in my pen name, so if I change now I guess I'd have to delete those and start over....8-|

Better stick with what you've got going then. :)

yeah... I'm still kinda on the fence :-) thanks for your thoughts!

Hi U, yes there are many considerations if you are trying to have 2 separate lives. However, I think the advise to use your real first name is sound. I personally do that without revealing my surname. I often sign my About Me page and e-mails as Robert J. So if you feel you need to make a change now is the tome to do it at the start of your new career here at WA.
