Pick up speed before joining the fast lane

This morning as I was on the highway driving to work I had a scary moment with learner driver, I presume, because they had an L plate at the back.

There I was doing 100km/h and this learner was parked in the emergency lane. There was a gap of about 3 or 4 cars between me and the car in front of me. Then all of a sudden the learner started moving and pulled in front of me at like 20km/h.

I had to hit the brakes quickly and move out to the emergency lane to avoid hitting this poor inexperienced soul. I hooted at them and they just drove away. It would have been bad as I was driving a truck and they were driving a small car.

I was a bit raveled and yelled "You pick up speed before joining a fast moving lane!"

I got off the highway after about 5km to continue on my way.

As per usual, almost everything I see now has some relation to WA. I thought about how someone new needs to pick up speed before joining the fast lane on online business. Learn the basic techniques, standards and best practices before rushing into the fast lane. You might crash and burn.

I had a good day otherwise.

It is glad to know that you are safe and the mishap was avoided.
I remember when i was taking driving lessons, my instructor told me that "don't assume that you will hit someone, assume that someone else will hit you so you better be careful from others and drive safely". Reading your story made me recall that.
Take good care.

That was great advise. You have to actively observe other vehicles around you and anticipate their actions. That was great advise. Thanks for sharing
