Of mugs and bucket lists
The bucket list is now a common term referring to those things that one would love to do before they die. It is all well and good to start with the end in mind and to end with a bang before kicking the bucket.
However, many of us still have a long life ahead of us. The bucket still lives outside the door of our everyday challenges, waiting patiently to either be filled up with things to do or start being emptied. It is still oblivious of when it will get its due attention.
What about those thing you want to achieve while you are still living? Where are they stored?
Since you are working towards financial independence, you may want to consider a mug list. This is a small list of things to do or achieve before the end of the year or before you turn a certain age.
It may not be the bucket list's travel round the world, but maybe a trip to the closest local resort, a weekend away, or that volunteer task you have been putting away every year. It may even be starting that blog your have listed on every new year's resolution. Write it on a piece of paper and put it in a mug in your kitchen cupboard.
Make sure it is done this time around. The more you accomplish the more you can celebrate. You will be the merrier for it.

Hi thank you for sharing. It's a great idea. Lets start with something we can accomplish now with smaller steps rather looking too far into the future. It will come soon enough. I like the mug list idea. All the best
