My first experience with Fiverr
So I have been so busy that I decided to outsource some of my niche tasks to Fiverr Gigs. I requested for two articles to be written and for a landing page to be designed.
Article writing gig
The 2 article gig was scheduled for 3 days and on the last day there was a request to extend by a few hours. I granted it and a day later I got the articles. They were not bad at all. I then added some more flesh to the 500 word delivery as well as images. I posted one article and scheduled the other one to post in 3 days time.

So I gave the author another article brief to write the third article. Today is day 3, they have just asked for a few more hours again to finish the article. Notice something here? And they were pleading for 5 star rating after I gave them a 4/5 first time around. I just higlighted that maybe they need to at least meet the scheduled time if they desire a 5/5.

I did create my own landing page with some mailchimp integration. But I am far from happy with it. I could not do what I really wanted to do. So I decided that I will not waste any more time. I looked through Fiverr and read the reviews. I picked a guy and paid. After two days the guy comes back saying that for personal reasons they cannot do the job, so I can revoke the job. Disappointed by the time lapse but understanding the explanation I accepted it.
I researched and found another freelancer. This one said he can do one in a day. I provided a detailed description. After the day was over, the guy came back asking me what I wanted. I was a bit ticked off as the description I gave was simple enough. He wanted two more days. I expressed my displeasure with his response and insisted that he tells me which part of landing page is not clear. He did not respond. A day later he apologies that he had been sick so I gave him some slack. But as of today, his delivery is a day late and no response to my enquiry so I cancelled it. I just lost a week on this back and forth.
Anyone know where I can get a good designer for a landing page because I have lost confidence with Fiverr so far on this aspect.

People from fiverr get ill a lot and relatives die frequently. If you find a good freelancer I would stick with him. Just have to trawl through the time wasters to find the good ones. That's my take on it.
I am quickly getting that vibe. Two people in a row got sick. The article writer is promising so far as she has delivered 3rd article. Hopefully one out of three works out. What is also good is that I got my refunds minus the $1 processing fee for PayPal transactions. However within Fiverr there is no processing fee.

I am sorry for your problems with Fiverr. I have used them for banners and had them master some of my music.
I was satisfied although they needed extra time.
I was considering them for writing but now that you have had a bad experience I will sure reconsider.
I know you have to vent the person that you use because thy are all independent. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, being freelancers it is difficult to have consistent level of service. I am sure there are good individuals out there, once you find them it can be a fruitful relationship. May be the best idea is to ask for referrals from people you can trust rather.
Sorry Tyrell to read of your misfortune with Fiverr.
I have used one person several times for graphic design and he was excellent.
I used another for a cPanel issue and he too, was great.
Valerie, would you mind sharing his name? I've had lousy luck with Fiverr too but would try it again if I could find someone dependable!
