Twack's Top Tips For Tip Top Tidying

First admission, I should be doing something else. Second admission is that Twack's top tips for tidying is misleading. Would 'misnomer' work instead of misleading, do you think ? Bit of a stretch maybe. Bottom line is that I couldn't find a suitable word for 'cleaning' that started with 'T'. So, tidying had to do.

I should be doing something else but I've just finished eating and 'Elementary' wasn't holding

my attention well enough for me to continue watching. It's my little treat, as it can be problematic to eat and write at the same time, it just gets messy.

Feel free to suggest a word but I probably won't change it, as that would confuse matters. The first two paragraphs would be redundant. I could put it in brackets, I suppose. Actually, that might work better with SEO, so they say.

Top tip for cleaning then. Due to some manic, indiscriminate buying practices, there is a distinct lack of cleaning products. More specifically, the sprays you use around the home when cleaning. Multi-surface cleaners with antibacterial properties.

Ours was down to the last centimetre. What to do ? Then I remembered that my wife had a recipe for some home made cleaner. I used it when I was cleaning the interiors of cars, prior to moving them on.

The light bulb lit up and I thought it would do the decent thing and pass it on. Some of you probably already do something similar but you never know, it might help someone.

When your spray bottle is about to run dry and you have no more, due to the muppets buying caseloads, fear not. Now, I must stress, that I am not qualified to pass on advice on the handling or certain chemicals. So I did my due diligence and sought external help, which I will add here after the next bit.

Here's the formula. A couple or three drops of washing up liquid. About a centimetre of bleach. Fill the rest up with water. That's it. It works a treat and it has proper antibacterial qualities. You can also add some 'Essential Oils' if you prefer a more pleasant smell.

As my disclaimer, here is one section of an article I found on 'Hunker.com'. I've left the links in, as they might prove to beneficial.

"To make the bleach solution, the CDC recommends mixing 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) of bleach per gallon of water. "Bleach concentrations vary, and people should consult the label to prepare an effective solution," Dr. Lee adds. "The most common concentration is 5.25% sodium hypochlorite in water." If, instead, you are looking to buy a product the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered for use against the corona virus — which includes household bleach products — you can find that information here."

That's it then. Enjoy the rest of the day. Stay healthy and safe.

Hey, buddy you must really be bored.

Glad you are being creative and helping your wife while stuck at home. You're a good guy. Any man who helps his wife gets my vote!

I woke up to cleaning windows at 7am. Yup got up at 6am, and had some crazy energy, so I thought why not.

The sun happened to be shining through my glass sliding doors and I have several windows throughout, and after days of rain, we woke up to a beautiful day. Birds chirping, and the sun barely creeping through the few clouds that existed fro the last few days.

I have a tendency to use my mama's old school ways of cleaning.
I put vinegar into water, and use newspaper. They turned out squeaky clean.

I am glad you enjoyed your day.

I enjoyed your post today. Have a great evening.

Thank you Carla. If the urge gets you, you just gotta run with it. I've always steered clear of using vinegar, though I know it has some amazing cleaning properties, I just can't get past the smell.
Sounds like you had a very productive start to the day, I hope the rest of it is enjoyable as well. Have a great one.

Tony Robbins is one of my favourites, never a wasted minute listening to him.

Twack, I'm reading and stuffing my face with Hershey's spread. This one is chocolate with hazelnut, Mmmm!
Chocolate is another food group you know! Especially since I'm gluten intolerant so no wheat , no barley, no rye, and no oats! Just the chocolate, pleeease. There will be no death by chocolate over here. Darn.
OK, now I get it about the case lots and the plandemic. Yup! Limits on cases of water, and my favorite, butter.

But I self isolated by accidentally locking the key in the van. OOPS.
Hey Twack, I want to invite you over to Keishalina9 and here post:
“Super Biz Idea!
Last Update: March 27, 2020"

Then I wrote something back to her. I wanted you to please go read her post when you have some time. And my response because, you make me laugh! And I feel that some how because of you, something had changed in me.
Thank you Twack!!
Here's my new thing for instigators:^^^vvv^^^

I love your flow of thoughts and I couldn't help smiling all the way. ✨👍😎🤩😍😊

Thank you Mega, you are so sweet! I went seeking Twack , he's kind of like a sweet tooth. I know that you know that because I see you over here a lot also.
What the heck Florintino, I'm going to follow you now. There must be a reason, but I'll wait and find out during the daylight hours. Thank you Mega!!!
SuzZZZzay and back to Zleep

Sleep well.

This is my second year with no 'milk chocolate' although I do occasionally treat myself to some 'dark'. Otherwise 99% no dairy or meat. I eat like a rabbit.
Thank you for such a lovely comment, I shall go and have a read of Keisha's post and then come back here.

Very useful recipe as far as I know can see the ingredients are still available and the assertion that bleach kills all is a tried and tested truism. Helpful to say the least thank you for sharing I know at least know in which direction to head if it comes down to brass tacks if not Twack's trust you are not intending to use on offspring after a couple of weeks of laid back non conforming behaviour which gets the disinfection impulses going!! lols
R.

I will be restrained but I might just have a spare water pistol on hand, should the urge become to great.
I think we're on day three, though already they all seem to be rolling into one long one. What a ride.

Empathise Twack!! I really do!!

Great post, Twack, especially the part where you are saying you might put the first paragraphs in brackets :)
Fighting ants in my home, I used water with vinegar for all my kitchen today. Don't know if it helps, baking soda helped for a while but they just seem to love our house for some reason.
Btw, top tips for tip top tidying is a nice tongue twister.

Thank you Lenka, I'm not normally very good with titles, so this one a bit of fun and seems to work alright.
Ants have been a pain for us also. Last year I bought a couple of ant 'Bait Stations'. The siege they were mounting, lasted no more than another hour, tops. All gone.

You were lucky then, I bought some ant baits or traps or whatever it was called last year but they didn't seem to work much. I just hope the little bastards are scared enough of the vinegar smell now. I would be, it's definitely not my favourite scent.
If they are still here, I will look for these stations online. Thanks for the tip!

Vinegar would put me off too. I couldn't bring myself to clean with it, as so many people do. Good luck fending off your ant invasion.
